The Motor Launch (Lake Rotokare) Notice 1968—Eltham County Council
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine hereby gives the following notice:
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Lake Rotokare) Notice 1968.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force for a period of five years after that date.
- Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply with respect to the area described in the First Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
All that area of water known as Lake Rotokare in Eltham County.
SECOND SCHEDULE
At each launching place, and positioned at normal lake level, in the area defined in the First Schedule hereto there shall be placed a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted bright orange with black lettering in the following form:
"NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
Caution
Lake Rotokare is a Reserved Area under regulation 14 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962
Persons Not Water Skiing Keep Out"

The Motor Launch (Lake Manapouri) Notice 1968—Fiordland National Park Board
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine hereby gives the following notice:
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Lake Manapouri) Notice 1968.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force for a period of five years after that date.
- Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply with respect to the two areas described in the First Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE

All that area of water in Lake Manapouri within 200 yards of the edge of the water and bounded by parallel lines 200 yards apart, the southern boundary line being extended in a 310° true direction from a point on the shoreline of normal lake level, being 121 yards northward of the northern side of the Doubtful Sound Tourist Co. Ltd. slipway, as shown on plan M.D. 12195.

All that area of water in Surprise Bay, Lake Manapouri, within 200 yd of the edge of the water and bounded on the sides by parallel lines 140 yd apart, the northern boundary line being extended in a 110° true direction as shown on plan M.D. 12195.
SECOND SCHEDULE
Each access lane shall be marked as follows:

Two 8-ft transit posts with a distance of not less than 10 ft or more than 20 ft between and painted with 12-in. bright orange and black bands shall be erected on land in line with each side of the access lane, the first post being sited at normal lake level.

On each side of the transit posts sited at normal lake level there shall be fastened in line with the sides of the access lane a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted bright orange with black lettering in the following form:
"NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
Access lane through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.
Bathers Keep Out"
- A marker buoy, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped, painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, shall be suitably moored to mark the lake end of each side of the access lane.

The Traffic (Waitaki County) Notice 1968
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waitaki County) Notice 1968.

The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
SCHEDULE
Situated within Waitaki County at Maheno:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from a point 2 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from Maheno-Kakanui Road to a point 19 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from Gifford Street).

The Traffic (Cook County) Notice 1968
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Cook County) Notice 1968.

The areas specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of December in each year and ending with the 10th day of February in the next ensuing year and the period commencing with the Thursday preceding Easter and ending with the Tuesday following Easter shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.

Centennial Marine Drive.
At Waihirere—
Domain Road (from the Ormond-Gisborne via Waiohika Road to the Waihirere Domain).

The Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 3, 1968
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Paparua County) Notice No. 3, 1968.

The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956* dated the 31st day of July 1957† which relates to Blakes Road, Prebbleton, in Paparua County, and the Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956 dated the 21st day of February 1964‡ which relates to Springs Road at Prebbleton in Paparua County are hereby revoked.
