Authorising the Dannevirke Electric Power Board to Erect
and Use Electric Lines within Part of the Patangata County

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric
Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby authorises the Dannevirke Electric Power
Board (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), subject to
the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up,
place, and use electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

ORDER

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
    the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967 and the Electrical
    Wiring Regulations 1961 shall be incorporated herein and
    shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may
    be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
  2. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance
    by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967,
    the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference
    Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amendment
    thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they
    may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
  3. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs
    (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), and (f) of regulation 15 of the
    Electrical Supply Regulations 1967.
  4. This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined,
    continue in force until the 5th day of December 1971.

SCHEDULE
LINES AUTHORISED

  1. A line commencing from Johnston Road and proceeding
    north-easterly then northerly for a distance of 72 chains in
    Section 2, Block IV, Mangatoro Survey District; such line
    being more particularly shown, coloured red, on the plan
    marked N.Z.E.D. 741 deposited in the office of the New
    Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
  2. Distribution lines and works associated with the afore-
    mentioned line.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Napier City Council
    Electric Lines Licence 1968.
  2. Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the Napier
    City Council (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”) is
    hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up, place, and use
    electric lines, and to construct electric works which may from
    time to time be required for the distribution and supply of
    electrical energy within the area of supply described in the
    Schedule hereto.
  3. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
    the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967 and the Electrical
    Wiring Regulations 1961 shall be incorporated herein and shall
    form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be
    inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

SCHEDULE
AREA OF SUPPLY
The Napier City Council Electric Supply Area shall be all
that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing approxi-
mately 1,992 acres, bounded by a line commencing at a point
in the City of Napier on the southern side of West Quay,
being the north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 10748, and
proceeding easterly along the southern side of West Quay
to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 12, D.P.
11303; thence northerly to and along that boundary for a
distance of 90·15 links; thence north-easterly along a right
line to a point four chains due west of the south-western
corner of Lot 1, D.P. 8768; thence north-easterly along a
right line bearing 10 degrees 30 minutes to its intersection with
an east-west line 980 chains north of Trig. Station A, Hawke’s
Bay; thence easterly along that line to the eastern side of the
Napier Harbour Board’s breakwater; thence southerly gener-
ally along that eastern side to and along the mean high-
water mark of the sea to a point in line with the southern
side of Ellison Street; thence westerly generally to and along
that southern side to a point on the northern boundary of Lot
19, D.P. 4488, in line with the south-western side of Georges
Drive; thence north-westerly to and along that side to the
northernmost corner of Lot 55, D.P. 4488; thence due west
along a right line to the north-eastern side of Douglas McLean
Avenue; thence north-westerly along that side to the north-
western side of Kennedy Road, being the southernmost corner
of Lot 3, D.P. 7354; thence north-westerly along a right line
to the eastern corner of Lot 103, D.P. 7201, being a point on
the south-western side of Georges Drive; thence north-westerly
along that side to the northern boundary of Lot 105, D.P. 7201;
thence westerly along that boundary and the northern boundary
of Lot 66, D.P. 7201, to the north-eastern boundary of Lot
64, D.P. 7201; thence north-westerly along that boundary to
the southern side of Sanders Avenue and a right line to the
south-eastern corner of Lot 25, D.P. 7201; thence northerly
generally along the eastern boundary of Lot 25 aforesaid to
the southern side of the Palmerston North-Gisborne Railway;
thence westerly along that side to a point in line with the
western boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 5290; thence northerly to
and along the western boundaries of Lots 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2,
D.P. 5290, to the southern side of Hyderabad Road; thence
westerly along that southern side to the Ahuriri Branch Rail-
way; thence westerly along a right line to the south-eastern
corner of Town Section 722, Napier; thence westerly along
the southern boundary of Town Section 722, Napier, and its
production to the north-eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P.
6313; thence northerly generally along that boundary to and
along the western side of the Ahuriri Branch Railway to the
southern side of Lot 1, D.P. 10748; thence westerly and
northerly along the southern and western boundaries of Lot
1, D.P. 10748, to the point of commencement. As the said
area is more particularly shown, outlined in red, on the plan
marked N.Z.E.D. 756 and deposited in the office of the New
Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

HIS EXCELLENCEY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the
following order.
ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as Local Agricultural Pest
    Declaration 1968.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of its notification in the Gazette.
  2. The hare (Lepus europaeus) is hereby declared to be a
    local agricultural pest in the pest destruction districts set out
    in the Schedule hereto.
