Notice of Intention to Take Additional Land for Road in Block IV, Tangihua Survey District, Whangarei County

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post Office at Whangarei and open there for inspection; and that any person affected by the said taking of the said land should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the land, not being an objection to the amount of compensation, and send the written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington, and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

The land to be taken is a narrow strip of Mr E. Parkes’ property in use as part of State Highway No. 1 about three-quarters of a mile north-west of Oakleigh Railway Station.
