The petitioner’s address for service is at the offices of Messrs Macalister Brothers, Solicitors, Esk Street, Invercargill.

NOTE—Any person who intends to appear on the hearing of the said petition must serve on or send by post, to the above-named, notice in writing of his intention so to do. The notice must state the name, address, and description of the person, or, if a firm, the name, address, and description of the firm, and an address for service within 3 miles of the office of the Supreme Court at Invercargill, and must be signed by the person, or firm, or his or their solicitor (if any), and must be served, or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to reach the above-named petitioner’s address for service not later than 4 o’clock in the afternoon of the 25th day of July 1968.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Napier City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, the widening of that portion of Lincoln Road in the City of Napier adjoining numbers 1, 3, 5, and 7, Lincoln Road; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Tennyson Street, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Tennyson Street, and on the receipt of any such objection a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

NORTHLAND HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Northland Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $240,000 authorised to be raised by the Northland Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act and in terms of the Whangarei Harbour Board Vesting and Empowering Act 1961, for harbour works and other purposes, the Northland Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of 0.07052 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Whangarei Harbour District; that the special rate should be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 19 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The aforesaid resolution was passed at the ordinary meeting of the Northland Harbour Board held on the 12th day of February 1968.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan 1968—$29,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $29,000 authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying that portion of the Roads and Bridges Loan 1952—$340,000 which matures on 1 December 1968, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four seven nine cents in the dollar upon the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 8 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 27th day of May 1968.

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Moerewa Water Reticulation Loan 1968—$45,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of $45,000 authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of financing the construction of the Moerewa township water reticulation scheme, the said Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought six cents (.06c) in the dollar upon the rateable value, on the basis of unimproved value, of all the rateable property in the whole of the County of Bay of Islands; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution of the Bay of Islands County Council passed on Wednesday, 20 March 1968.

Paihia Water Supply No. 2 Loan 1968—$35,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of $35,000 authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of financing the completion of the Paihia township water supply scheme, the said Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four five cents (.045c) in the dollar upon the rateable value, on the basis of unimproved value, of all the rateable property in the whole of the County of Bay of Islands, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Streets Renewal Loan 1968—$47,000

THAT pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Streets Renewal Loan 1968 of forty-seven thousand dollars ($47,000) authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying the balance of the Streets Improvement Loan 1958—$400,000 amounting to $47,000 which will remain unpaid at the date of maturity, i.e., 15 July 1968, the New
