The Traffic (Wallace County) Notice 1968

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Wallace County) Notice 1968.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. So much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936 dated the 23rd day of December 1938* as relates to roads in the Nightcaps Town District is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Wallace County at Nightcaps Township:

No. 96 State Highway (Mataura-Tuatapere) (from a point 2 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from Opio Road to a point 2 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said State highway from Osborne Terrace).

High Street (from a point 6 chains measured southerly generally along the said street from Evan Street to a point 18 chains measured northerly generally along High Street from No. 96 State Highway (Mataura-Tuatapere)).

Opio Road (from No. 96 State Highway (Mataura-Tuatapere) to a point 3 chains measured north-easterly generally along Opio Road from the said State highway).

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. So much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936 dated the 8th day of June 1937* as relates to Roads in Methven Township in Ashburton County is hereby revoked.

Additional Land at Waharoa Taken for the Purposes of the Thames Valley-Rotorua Railway

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Thames Valley-Rotorua Railway from and after the 3rd day of June 1968.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of closed road containing 0.38 of a perch situated in Block XIII, Wairere Survey District, adjoining or passing through railway land in certificate of title, Volume 50, folio 278, South Auckland Land Registry; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 21890 (S.O. 43146) deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Change of the Purpose of Part of a Reserve and Vesting in the Auckland City Council

———

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for quarry purposes to a reserve for off-street parking and, further, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland, in trust, for that purpose.

Declaration That Land is a Public Reserve

———

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Coromandel County Council on the 21st day of February 1968:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Coromandel County Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the said county, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be a public reserve for recreation purposes within the meaning of the said Act.”
