ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Canterbury Sheltered Workshop Association (Incorporated) Order 1968.

  2. The Canterbury Sheltered Workshop Association (Incorporated), an organisation approved by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption in respect of the sheltered workshop at 258 Antigua Street, Christchurch, from:

(a) All the provisions of every award and industrial agreement which would otherwise be applicable in respect of persons employed in that workshop; and

(b) All the provisions of the Annual Holidays Act 1944 and the Minimum Wage Act 1945; and

(c) Section 34 of the Factories Act 1946 and all the provisions of that Act relating to the payment of a factory registration fee.

  1. The Canterbury Sheltered Workshop Association (Incorporated) Order 1963* is hereby revoked.

Appointing Two Members of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General

PURSUANT to sections 3 and 4 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and section 6 of the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint

Eric Arthur Batson, farmer, of Putorino, Hawke’s Bay, as representing regional water boards of the North Island;

Thomas Ross Beatty, sheep farmer, of Palmerston, Otago, as representing regional water boards of the South Island

to be members of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council from and including the 14th day of May 1968.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 14th day of May 1968.
