NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

BRYANT NURSERY TRUST BOARD ENABLING BILL

IN the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills, and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled “An Act to empower the Bryant Nursery Trust Board to transfer all its assets to the Mary Bryant Trust Board a newly constituted Trust Board set up to take over the work previously carried out by the Bryant Nursery Trust Board.”

Notice is hereby given that Bryant Nursery Trust Board intends to apply for leave to bring into the House of Representatives the above-mentioned Private Bill.

The object of the proposed Bill is as set out above.

The promoter of the Bill is Bryant Nursery Trust Board, whose address for service is at the offices of Messrs McCaw, Smith, and Arcus, Commercial Bank Building, 320 Victoria Street, Hamilton.

A copy of the proposed Bill may be inspected at the above address.

CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957

DECLARATION OF THE DISSOLUTION OF A CHARITABLE TRUST

I, Christopher Charles Kennelly, Assistant Registrar of Charitable Trusts, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Dunedin Diocesan Clerical Sick and Infirm Fund Board is no longer carrying on business, the aforesaid Charitable Trust is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 26 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957.

CHRISTCHURCH TRANSPORT BOARD

SPECIAL ORDER RE SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan 1967, $154,600

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other powers it enabling, the Christchurch Transport Board hereby resolves that the following resolution passed at a special meeting of the Christchurch Transport Board on 11 March 1968 be confirmed as a special order.

“(a) That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Christchurch Transport Board Renewal Loan 1967 of $154,600 authorised to be raised under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Christchurch Transport Board hereby makes a special rate of 0.004002 of a cent in the dollar upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Christchurch Transport District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

(b) That the Christchurch Transport Board hereby directs that the said special rate be levied and collected by the Christchurch City Council, the Riccarton Borough Council, and the Waimairi, Heathcote, Paparua, and Halswell County Councils respectively within their respective districts, and that the said rate be payable in one sum on the days respectively appointed by the said local authorities for the payment of rates for their respective districts.

The foregoing special order was passed at a meeting of the Christchurch Transport Board held on 11 March 1968 and was confirmed on 8 April 1968.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Deputy Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 30th day of April 1968, cancelled the registry of Perseverance Division No. 1, and Excelsior Division No. 4, of the National Division Order of Sons of Temperance of New Zealand (Register Nos. 170/15 and 170/6 respectively) held at Christchurch, on the grounds that the said branches have ceased to exist.
