RANGITIKEI CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rangitikei River Control Scheme No. 2 Loan 1965, $186,000—
Fourth Issue $30,000

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Soil Conservation and River Control Act 1941, and all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Rangitikei Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $30,000, being the fourth part of the Rangitikei River Control Scheme No. 2 Loan 1965, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the carrying out of the Rangitikei River Control Scheme No. 2, the said Rangitikei Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Rangitikei River Control Scheme rating area, on a graduated scale according to the classification list of the said area, as follows:

0.1959 cents in the dollar on Class A land
0.1567 cents in the dollar on Class B land
0.1175 cents in the dollar on Class C land
0.0784 cents in the dollar on Class D land
0.0392 cents in the dollar on Class E land
0.0196 cents in the dollar on Class F land

and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Porewa Valley Control Scheme Loan $70,000—Fourth
Issue $10,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Soil Conservation and River Control Act 1941, and all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Rangitikei Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $10,000, being the fourth part of the Porewa Valley Control Scheme Loan 1964, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the carrying out of the Porewa Valley Control Scheme, the said Rangitikei Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Porewa Valley Control Scheme rating area, on a graduated scale according to the classification list of the said area, as follows:

0.543 cents in the dollar on Class A land
0.318 cents in the dollar on Class B land
0.153 cents in the dollar on Class C land
0.0271 cents in the dollar on Class D land
0.0164 cents in the dollar on Class E land
0.0054 cents in the dollar on Class F land
0.0437 cents in the dollar on Class U1 land
0.0012 cents in the dollar on Class U2 land

and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ASHBURTON ELECTRIC-POWER AND GAS BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan 1968, $50,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Ashburton Electric-Power and Gas Board held on the 22nd day of April 1968 the following resolution was passed:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $50,000, to be known as Renewal Loan 1968, $50,000, authorised to be raised by the Ashburton Electric-Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying those portions of the Special Loan No. 14 (1957), $160,000 which mature on 21 July 1968 and 16 February 1969, the said Board hereby makes a special rate of 0.0062 cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Ashburton Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of May and the 1st day of November (or yearly on the 1st day of May) in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Development and Expansion Loan 1966, $600,000,
Third Issue $270,000

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $270,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and expanding the waterworks, drainage, and street systems of the city including sewage treatment plant and houses for attendants, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought six three cents (0.063c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 15th day of May in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 23 April 1968.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Airport Development Loan 1968, $30,000

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $30,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of strengthening the runway, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought eight cents (0.008c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 15th day of May in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 23 April 1968.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE TO STOP PORTIONS OF ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road and for the purposes of that public work the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto are required to be stopped. And further notice is hereby given that a plan of the portions of road required to be stopped is deposited in the office of the Tauranga County Council, Barke’s Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, and is there open for inspection, that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the stopping of the said portions of road should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or the stopping of the said portions of road, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Tauranga County Council at Tauranga, and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the Council meeting at which the hearing will be heard.
