The Traffic (Piako County) Notice 1968

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Piako County) Notice 1968.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

The Traffic (Wellington Urban Motorway) Notice 1968

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Wellington Urban Motorway) Notice 1968.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a 40-miles an hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SITUATED within Wellington City:
Wellington Urban Motorway.
The off-ramp roadway (from the Wellington Urban Motorway to Aotea Quay).

SECOND SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON Urban Motorway (all that portion commencing at a point 72 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said urban motorway from the north-east abutment of the Thorndon Overbridge and terminating at the end of the said urban motorway at the point where it meets the off-ramp roadway leading to Aotea Quay).
