National Roads Board—Notice Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road


It is notified that the National Roads Board by resolution dated 27 March 1968 and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963 hereby declares that part of No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton to Woodville) from Taonui Stream generally south-eastwards to the north-western boundary of the City of Palmerston North, as more particularly shown on Sheets 1, 2, and 3 of M.O.W. 14208 and the accompanying schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works, Palmerston North, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Tuparoa Development Scheme Amending Notice 1968, No. 1


WHEREAS, by virtue of the notice described in the First Schedule hereto, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is now subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Tuparoa Development Scheme Amending Notice 1968, No. 1.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is thus released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Meat Act 1964, and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said section notice is hereby given that the Chatham Islands Meat Co. Ltd. shall be the controlling authority of the Chatham Islands Abattoir. The appointment of the Te Awatea Meat Co. as the controlling authority is hereby revoked.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises: Porirua Licensing Trust


PURSUANT to subsection 10 of section 34B of the Licensing Trusts’ Act 1949, as inserted by section 3 (1) of the Licensing Trusts’ Amendment Act 1967, I, John Lochiel Robson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Porirua Licensing Trust at a meeting on 28 March 1968 passed the following resolution:

“That on any day other than on a day on which premises are required to be closed the Mana Retail Bottle Store, situated at the Railway (Commercial) site on Lot No. 7 and 8 adjacent to the Railway Station, Mana, will open at the hour of 9 a.m. and close at the hour of 8 p.m.”

PURSUANT to subsection 10 of section 34B of the Licensing Trusts’ Act 1949, as inserted by section 3 (1) of the Licensing Trusts’ Amendment Act 1967, I, John Lochiel Robson, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Mataura Licensing Trust at a meeting on 1 April 1968 passed the following resolution:

“Variation of Bottle Store Hours.

(1) Central Stores, Fairfield Street, Gore—
Mondays to Fridays inclusive 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., with the proviso that on the day before a public holiday (not being a day on which licensed premises must be closed) the hours of business be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

(2) Gorge Road Bottle Store—
Mondays to Fridays inclusive noon to 8 p.m.
Saturdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the proviso that on the day before a public holiday (not being a day on which licensed premises must be closed) the hours of business be the same as for a Saturday.”
