At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 16th day of
April 1968
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Sounds Pest Destruction District Order 1968.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of is notification in the Gazette.

  2. The boundaries of he Sounds Pest Destruction District,
    which was constituted by Order in Council on the 19th day of
    October 1955* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from
    the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said
    district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE SOUNDS PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, County of
Marlborough, bounded by a line commencing in Block XVI,
Gore Survey District, at a point on the sea coast of Port
Gore, in line with the south-western boundary of Section 1
of 6, Block XVI aforesaid, and proceeding generally north-
easterly along the sea coast to Cape Jackson in Block XX,
Gore Survey District; thence southerly generally along the
sea coast to Snake Point in Block III, Arapawa Survey
District; thence westerly generally along the sea coast to its
intersection with the middle-line of the Grove Wharf at
Okiwa Bay in Block X, Linkwater Survey District; thence
south-easterly along a right line to the northernmost corner
of Section 2 of 3, Block XI, Linkwater Survey District; thence
generally south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of
the said Section 2 of 3 to the easternmost corner of that
section; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern bound-
ary of that section to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2,
D.P. 1136; thence south-easterly and southerly along the
north-eastern and eastern boundaries of that lot to the south-
ernmost corner of that lot; thence south-westerly along the
south-eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 1146, to the eastern-
most corner of Section 8, Block X, Linkwater Survey District;
thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of
that section and its production to the middle of Ada Creek;
thence generally south-westerly up the middle of that creek
to a point in line with the south-western boundary of the
public road which adjoins the left bank of Ada Creek; thence
north-westerly to and along that boundary to the southern
boundary of Section 8, Block X, Linkwater Survey District;
thence generally westerly along the southern boundary of
that section to the south-eastern boundary of Section 17,
Block XIV, Linkwater Survey District; thence south-westerly
along the south-eastern boundary of that section and westerly
along the southern boundaries of that section and Sections
16, Block XIV, and 31, Block X, Linkwater Survey District,
to the easternmost corner of Section 1 of 6, Block XIV afore-
said; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary
of the said Section 1 of 6 to the eastern boundary of Lot 4,
D.P. 1190; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern
and southern boundaries of that lot and the production of
that southern boundary to the southern boundary of Lot 2,
D.P. 1253; thence westerly and north-westerly along the
southern and south-western boundaries of that lot to the
southern boundary of Section 15, Block IX, Linkwater Survey
District; thence westerly along that boundary to the eastern
boundary of Section 7, Block XIII, Linkwater Survey District;
thence northerly and generally westerly along the eastern
and northern boundaries of that section to the eastern bound-
ary of Section 3A, Block XII, Wakamarina Survey District;
thence generally northerly along that boundary to the south-
ernmost corner of Section 10, Block XII aforesaid; thence
north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of that
section to a public road; thence north-westerly along the
south-western side of that public road to the northernmost
corner of Section 2, Block XII aforesaid; thence south-
westerly and north-westerly along the south-eastern and

south-western boundaries of the southern portion of part
Lot 1, D.P. 1247, to the northernmost corner of Section 28,
Block XII aforesaid; thence south-westerly along the north-
western boundary of that section to the sea coast of Havelock
Harbour; thence northerly generally along the sea coast to
Cullens Point in Block VIII, Wakamarina Survey District;
thence easterly generally along the sea coast of the Pelorus,
Mahau, and Kenepuru Sounds, to a point in line with the
north-eastern boundary of part Section 98, Pelorus Sound
Registration District in Block VI, Gore Survey District;
thence north-westerly to and along that boundary to the
northernmost corner of that section; thence north-easterly
along a right line to the westernmost corner of Section 35,
Block VI aforesaid; thence north-easterly along the north-
western boundary of that section to its northernmost corner;
thence south-easterly a distance of 1511 links and north-
easterly a distance of 100 links along the boundaries of the
said Section 35 to the easternmost corner of Section 34,
Block VI aforesaid; thence north-westerly along the north-
eastern boundary of that section to a point in line with the
south-eastern boundary of Section 53, Block VII, Gore
Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along that
boundary to the easternmost corner of the said Section 53
(the south-western side of a public road); thence north-
westerly along the south-western side of the said public road
to the north-eastern boundary of the western portion of Lot
2, D.P. 866; thence north-westerly along that boundary to
the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 866; thence northerly
and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of
that lot to the western boundary of Section 55, Block VII,
Gore Survey District; thence northerly and easterly along
the western and northern boundaries of that section to the
western boundary of Endeavour Inlet 35A 2 in Block XI,
Gore Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary
to the north-western corner of that section; thence north-
easterly and south-easterly along the north-western and north-
eastern boundaries of Endeavour Inlet 35A 1 to the western
boundary of Section 33, Block XII, Gore Survey District;
thence northerly and easterly along the western and northern
boundaries of that section and the production of the last-
mentioned boundary to the eastern side of a public road;
thence southerly along that roadside to the westernmost corner
of Section 45, Block XII aforesaid; thence north-easterly along
the north-western boundary of that section to the northernmost
corner of the said section; thence generally south-easterly
along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 45 and 34,
Block XII aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of the said
Section 34; thence generally north-easterly along the north-
western boundaries of Sections 31, Block XII, 2, and 2 of 6,
Block XVI, Gore Survey District, to the southern boundary
of Section 1 of 6, Block XVI aforesaid; thence generally
north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said
Section 1 of 6 and its production to the point of commence-
ment.

Judge of the Supreme Court Temporarily Appointed

His Excellency the Governor-General, in the name and on
behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, has been pleased to appoint
Clinton Marcus Roper, Esquire
of Christchurch, barrister, to be a Judge of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand for a period of 12 months from the
date of appointment.

New Zealand Appointed

PURSUANT to the Queen Elizabeth the Second Arts Council
of New Zealand Act 1963, His Excellency the Governor-
General, on the recommendation of the Minister of Internal
Affairs, has been pleased to appoint the following persons to
be members of the Queen Elizabeth the Second Arts Council
of New Zealand for terms of three years on and from 1 April
