TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD AND TO STOP ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the pro-
visions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain
public work, namely, the construction of a road and for
the purposes of that public work the land described in the
First Schedule hereto is required to be taken and the por-
tions of the road described in the Second Schedule hereto
are required to be stopped. And notice is further given that
the plan of the land so required to be taken and the portions
of the road required to be stopped is deposited in the office
of the Tauranga County Council, Barke's Corner, Cameron
Road, Tauranga, and is there open for inspection, that all
persons affected by the execution of the said public work or
by the taking of the said land or by the stopping of the
said portions of road should if they have any objections to
the execution of the said public works or the taking of the
said land or by the stopping of the said portions of road, not
being objections to the amount or payment of compensation,
set forth the same in writing and send the written objection
within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the
Tauranga County Council at Tauranga, and that, if any
objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public
hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector
otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the
time and place of the Council meeting at which the hearing
will be held.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

"THAT, the Auckland City Council in pursuance and exercise
of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Auth-
orities Loans Act 1956 and amendment and of all other powers
thereunto enabling it, doth hereby resolve to raise the sum
of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) being the
first issue of the Parking Building Loan 1967, $3,500,000, for
the purpose of meeting the cost of construction, fittings,
preparation of plans, and all other expenses incidental
thereto of a parking building to be erected in connection
with the Auckland Harbour Down Town Development
Scheme and payment of interest not exceeding $120,000
during construction and the cost of raising the loan.

That the terms for which the said sum or any part thereof
may be borrowed shall be six, 10, or 20 years at the
discretion of Council, providing that the amount avail-
able for six years shall not exceed $99,000.

That the rate of interest to be paid in respect of the
said sum or any part thereof shall be five and one half per
centum (5Β½%) per annum where the loan is for a term
of six years or a rate of five and three quarters per
centum (5ΒΎ%) per annum where the loan is for a term
of 10 or 20 years.

That the date of issue shall be 1 February 1968 and
maturity dates shall be 1 February 1974, 1978, and 1988.

That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge
as security for the said loan of $200,000 and interest and
other charges thereon a special rate of point eight two five
seven of a cent (.8257 of a c) in the dollar ($) upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all
rateable property in the City of Auckland.

That debentures for securing repayments of principal
and interest in respect of the said amount of $200,000 or any
part thereof be issued and that His Worship the Mayor
and the City Treasurer be and they are hereby authorised
to sign and countersign respectively the said debentures
and to affix the seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and
Citizens of the City of Auckland to the said debentures,
or alternatively inscribed stock be issued for securing the
repayment of the whole or any part of the said amount of
$200,000.

That a sinking fund of not less than one point five one
percent (1.51%) per annum be and is hereby established
in respect of the said sum of $200,000 or on such amount
thereof as may from time to time be issued and that the
amount thereof shall be paid to the Auckland City Sinking
Fund Commissioners and be held and disposed of by them
as required by law.

That copies of this resolution and of all other resolutions,
orders, and documents relating to the said amount of
$200,000 verified by the Mayor and Town Clerk as correct
extracts from the minutes of the proceedings of the Council
may from time to time be sealed with the common seal of
the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auck-
land as evidence of same and issued."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and
amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other
powers thereunder enabling it, the Auckland City Council
hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of forty-five thousand five hundred dollars
($45,500), to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 38, 1968,
$45,500, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auck-
land City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the
