At Herald Island—
All roads on Herald Island, the causeway leading to Herald Island, Kingsway Road (from Kauri Road to the western end of the causeway leading to Herald Island).

At Whenuapai—
Brighams Creek - Hobsonville Road (from a point 16 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Trig Road to Totara Road).
The two approach roads to Whenuapai Aerodrome which junction with the Brighams Creek - Hobsonville Road.

SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Waitemata County:

At Hobsonville—
Brighams Creek - Hobsonville Road (from a point 4 chains measured westerly generally along the said road from Wisely Road to the crash gates at the north-eastern end of Brighams Creek - Hobsonville Road). Hobsonville Road (from Brighams Creek - Hobsonville Road to a point 16 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said road from Brighams Creek - Hobsonville Road and from Luckens Road to a point 40 chains measured south-westerly generally along Hobsonville Road from Luckens Road).
Luckens Road (from Hobsonville Road to a point 24 chains measured south-easterly generally along Luckens Road from Hobsonville Road).
Trig Road (from Hobsonville Road to a point 16 chains measured north-westerly generally along Trig Road from Hobsonville Road).

At Huapai and Kumeu—
No. 16 State Highway (Auckland-Wellsford) (from Station Road, Huapai, to the bridge at a point 10 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from the entrance to the Kumeu Railway Station).
Access Road (from the No. 16 State Highway (Auckland-Wellsford) to a point 24 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said road from the Henderson-Kumeu via Swanson Road).
Matua Road (from the No. 16 State Highway (Auckland-Wellsford) to Oraha Road).
Oraha Road (from the No. 16 State Highway (Auckland-Wellsford) to a point 8 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said road from Matua Road).
Tapu Road (from the No. 16 State Highway (Auckland-Wellsford) to a point 20 chains measured northerly generally along the said road from the said State highway).

At Riverhead—
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern side of the No. 18 State Highway (Brighams Creek - Albany) at the western end of the bridge across the Rangitopuni Creek; thence across the said State highway at right-angles to its northern side, to its southern side; thence southerly generally along the western bank of the said creek to a point opposite the southern side of the Kaipara Portage Road; thence westerly generally along the said roadside to the eastern side of the said State highway; thence across the said State highway at right-angles to its eastern side, to its western side; thence across Riverhead Road at right-angles to its southern side, to its northern side; thence northerly generally along the western side of the said State highway to the junction of the said State highway with Alice Street; thence northerly generally along the western side of Alice Street to the northern side of Queen Street; thence easterly generally along Queen Street to the western side of the said State highway; thence northerly generally along the western side of the said State highway to its junction with Great North Road; thence northerly generally along the western side of Great North Road to the end of the said road; thence easterly generally across Great North Road from its western side, to its eastern side; thence south-easterly generally by a right line to the commencing point.
Un-named road (from Kaipara Portage Road to the bank of the Rangitopuni Creek).

The Traffic (Waitemata County) Notice No. 5, 1968

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waitemata County) Notice No. 5, 1968.
  2. The areas and roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The areas and roads specified in the Second Schedule here-to are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
  4. The Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956* dated the 6th day of July 1967† which relates to areas in the Waitemata County is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Waitemata County:

Adjacent to Takapuna City, Northcote Borough, Birkenhead Borough, and East Coast Bays Borough—

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point at the junction of the north-western side of Glenfield Road with the south-western side of the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff); thence south-easterly generally along the southern side of the said State highway across Glenfield Road, Hogans Road, View Road, Halberg Street, Hillside Road, and Archers Road, to the north-western boundary of Takapuna city; thence south-easterly generally along the said boundary to the bank of the Barrys Point Lagoon; thence south-westerly generally along the bank of the said lagoon to the north-western boundary of Northcote Borough; thence south-westerly generally along that boundary and north-westerly generally along the northern boundary of Birkenhead Borough to the south-western bank of the Kaipatiki Creek; thence northerly generally along the south-eastern and eastern banks of the Kaipatiki Creek and the south-eastern banks of the Oruamo Creek and the Lignite Stream to a point due west of the commencing point; thence easterly by a right line to the commencing point.

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-eastern side of Sunset Road with the western boundary of the East Coast Bays Borough; thence southerly generally along the western boundary of East Coast Bays Borough and the north-western boundary of Takapuna City to the north-eastern side of the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff); thence by a right line northerly generally to a point on the south-eastern side of Sunset Road 30 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said roadside from the western boundary of East Coast Bays Borough; thence north-easterly generally along that roadside to the commencing point.

At Long Bay—
Beach Road (from the northern boundary of the East Coast Bays Borough to the coast of the Hauraki Gulf).
Long Bay Drive (from the northern boundary of the East Coast Bays Borough to Beach Road).

SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Waitemata County:

At Albany—
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from Bush Road to a point 3 chains measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Paremoremo Road).

At Glenfield—
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point at the junction of the northern side of Sunset Road with the eastern side of the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff); thence north-easterly generally along the northern side of Sunset Road to the northern side of the junction of the said road with Target Road; thence across Sunset Road at right-angles to its western side, to its eastern side; thence easterly and south-easterly generally along the northern side of Target Road to the said State highway; thence across Target Road at right-angles to its eastern side, to its western side; thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern side of the said State highway across Woodall Place, Kathleen Street, Ludlow Terrace, Ellice Road, and Sunset Road to the commencing point.

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern side of Wharf Road 8 chains measured easterly generally from Churchhouse Road; thence westerly generally along the northern side of Wharf Road to the eastern side of Churchhouse Road; thence northerly generally along the said roadside to the southern bank of the Te Wharau Creek; thence north-westerly generally following the bank of the said creek
