RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

“PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waiuku Borough Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $6,500 authorised to be raised by the Waiuku Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of upgrading the present water supply, the said Waiuku Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.009 cents in the dollar upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Waiuku; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 6th day of September and the 6th day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waiuku Borough Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $20,000 authorised to be raised by the Waiuku Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting preliminary costs in upgrading water and drainage in the Borough, the said Waiuku Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.052 cents in the dollar upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Waiuku; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of July and the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Bulk Water (Redemption) Loan No. 20, 1968—$479,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, the Auckland Regional Authority has resolved to the following effect:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a Loan of $479,000 authorised to be raised by the Auckland Regional Authority under the above-mentioned Acts for redeeming the unpaid balances of several loans raised by the Auckland City Council in connection with its bulk water supply undertaking which liability was taken over by the Auckland Regional Authority in terms of section 42 of the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, plus the costs of raising such loan, the Auckland Regional Authority hereby makes a special rate of the several amounts in the dollar set out in the fourth column of the Schedule hereto on the rateable values set out against such amounts respectively in the third column of such Schedule of all rateable property of the local authorities listed in the first column of such Schedule and set out against such amounts and rateable values respectively; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, which shall at the lenders option be for periods of six, 10, and 20, years from the 1st day of May 1968, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Drainage (Redemption) Loan No. 53, 1968—$663,600

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, the Auckland Regional Authority has resolved to the following effect:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a Loan of $663,600 authorised to be raised by the Auckland Regional Authority under the above-mentioned Acts for redeeming the unpaid balance of a loan raised by the former Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board in connection with its drainage and sewerage undertaking, which liability was taken over by the Auckland Regional Authority in terms of section 43 of the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, plus the costs of raising such loan, the Auckland Regional Authority hereby makes a special rate of the several amounts in the dollar set out in the fourth column of the Schedule hereto on the rateable values set against such amounts respectively in the third column of such Schedule of all rateable property of the local authorities listed in the first column of such Schedule and set out against such amounts and the rateable values respectively; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, which shall at the lenders option be for periods of six, 10, and 20 years from the 3rd day of May 1968, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

SPECIAL ORDER

THE Auckland Regional Authority in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, sections 45 and 24, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf doth hereby resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special order to borrow the sum of $200,000 (two hundred thousand dollars) as a special loan to be known as Property Loan No. 2, 1965—$614,000: 3rd Issue $200,000 for the purpose of providing sufficient loan finance to cover progress construction costs, architects fees, and other incidental expenses in connection with the Authority’s new building in Wellesley Street West, Auckland.

The foregoing special order was made by way of special resolution passed at a special meeting of the Authority held on the 19th day of February 1968. It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star on the 23rd day of February and the 8th day of March 1968 and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Authority held on the 18th day of March 1968.

The common seal of the Auckland Regional Authority was hereunto affixed this 18th day of March 1968.
