Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two
two five six cents (.02256) in the dollar upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the City of Timaru and that the said special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of
the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April
in each and every year during the currency of the said loan,
being a period of 10 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
meeting of the Timaru City Council, held on the 12th day
of March 1968.

Notice of Application for Consent to Conditional Use

NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made by
Ray Crum Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its
registered office at Ashburton, for consent to a conditional
use of the land described below so as to permit the estab-
lishment of a brick and blocklaying contractor’s depot
thereon.

The property is situated in Smithfield Road, Ashburton, and
is located in the Rural Zone.

The legal description of the land is all that parcel of land
situated in Block XIII of the Ashburton Survey District
containing 1 acre (1 a) being section 5 of Reserve 1261 and
being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title,
Volume 177, folio 300.

The application may be examined at the office of the Ash-
burton County Council, Havelock Street, Ashburton, during
normal office hours and any person or body affected may
object to the application by notice in writing delivered to
the County Clerk, Ashburton County Council, P.O. Box 43,
Ashburton, not later than 4 p.m. on the 11th day of April
1968.

Every objector shall state the grounds of his objection and
whether the objector wishes to be heard by the Council in

NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made by
Geoffrey Verdun Russell Read, a duly incorporated com-
pany having its registered office at Ashburton, for consent
to a specified departure from the existing Ashburton Borough
District Scheme to permit the erection of a building con-
taining three flat-units upon the property hereinafter des-
cribed.

The property is situated at No. 38 Elizabeth Street, Ash-
burton, and is located in the Residential “A” Zone.

The legal description of the land is all that parcel of
land situated in the Borough of Ashburton containing 32.6
perches being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 17512 part of
Rural Section 7862 and being the whole of the land com-
prised in certificate of title, Volume 727, folio 69.

Belmont Water Supply Loan 1967—$432,000

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956 notice is given that a poll of ratepayers of the Belmont
Special Rating Area No. 64 (being part of the Epuni Riding
of the Hutt County) taken on the 16th day of March 1968
on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise
a loan of $432,000 to be known as the Belmont Water Supply
Loan 1967, $432,000 for the purpose of providing water
reticulation for the above-named special rating area resulted
as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 171
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 151
The number of informal votes was ..... ..... ..... 4

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Te Anau Community Centre District taken on the 9th day of
March 1968, on the proposal of the above-named local auth-
ority to raise a loan of $16,000 to be known as the Te Anau
Public Hall Loan 1967 for the purpose of financing part of
the cost of constructing a public hall at Te Anau, complete
with furnishings and fittings, resulted as follows:
