FINDLAY, of Blenheim, company secretary, in support of the
motion, and the exhibits therein respectively referred to AND
it appearing that the special resolution for the reduction of
the capital of the said company referred to in the said
motion has been duly passed IT IS ORDERED:

THAT the reduction of paid up capital resolved in the
special resolution passed by means of an entry in the minute
book of the company signed as provided by subsection (1)
of section 362 of the Companies Act 1955 on the 15th day
of December 1967 be confirmed. -
THAT the following minute showing the amount of capital
of the company be approved:
“The capital of F. J. Grigg Ltd. is $14,000.00 divided into
14,000 shares of $1.00 each having been reduced from
$35,000.00 divided into 35,000 shares of $1.00 each fully
paid.”
- THAT notice of the registration of the order so to be made
and the said minute be published once in the New Zealand
Gazette.

WHANGAREI CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei City Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
to execute certain public work, namely, the provision of a
supply of pure water for the use of the inhabitants of the
district and for this purpose the said Whangarei City Council
proposes to take, under the provisions of the said Public
Works Act 1928, the land described in the Schedule hereto
for water conservation purposes. Notice is further given that
plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in
the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council
situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and are there available
for public inspection without fee by all persons during office
hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said work
or by the taking of such land who have any objections to
the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the
said land must state their objections in writing and send the
same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this
notice to the Town Clerk, at the Council Chambers, Municipal
Building, Bank Street, Whangarei.
SCHEDULE
FIRSTLY, all that piece of land containing an area of 30 acres
1 rood 28.6 perches, more or less, and being part of Allot-
ment 56, Whangarei Parish, situated in Block XII, Purua
Survey District, as the same is more particularly delineated
on S.O. Plan 45691, and thereon coloured sepia.
And secondly, all that piece of land containing an area of
42 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less, being Allotment
58, Whangarei Parish, situated in Blocks VIII and XI, Purua
Survey District, as the same is more particularly delineated
on S.O. Plan 45742, and thereon coloured yellow. (The land
referred to is situated at Whau Valley.)

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice
is hereby given by the Otorohanga Borough Council that it is
proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928
to take, for the purpose of erecting pensioner flats, the portions
of land described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby
further given that a plan showing the said pieces of land is
on view and open to inspection at the office of the Council
at the address set out below during ordinary business hours
and that every person affected by the taking of the said pieces
of land should set forth in writing any objection he may wish
to make to the taking of the said pieces of land, not being
an objection to the amount of compensation, and send the
written objection within 40 days from the first publication of
this notice to the Town Clerk, Otorohanga Borough Council,

WAIPUKURAU COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
TAKE notice that the Waipukurau County Council, pursuant
to the Public Works Act 1928, hereby gives notice of its
proposal to take land for road, being part of Racecourse
Road and Porangahau Road referred to in the Schedule
hereto. The plan of the land to be taken for road by the
Council may be inspected at the offices of the Waipukurau
County Council in Northumberland Street, Waipukurau. All
persons wishing to object to the proposal must set forth in
writing any objections they may wish to make to the taking
of the land, not being an objection to the amount of com-
pensation, and send such written objection to the Waipukurau
County Council, Northumberland Street, Waipukurau, on or
before the 2nd day of May 1968. If any such objection is
made a public hearing of the objection will be held unless
the objector otherwise requires. Each objector will be advised
of the time and place of the hearing.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and
regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto
enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as
follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of one hundred and thirty-six thousand six
hundred dollars ($136,600) to be known as the Redemption
Loan No. 37, 1968-$136,600 which amount is proposed to
be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-
mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity those
portions of the Avondale Drainage Loan 1957-$508,000;
Building Acquisition Loan 1956-$300,000; Parking Buildings
Additional Loan 1957-$109,000; and the Purchase of Proper-
ties Loan 1957-$300,000 which mature on 1 April 1968, and
the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal point
nought three nine of a cent (.039c) in the dollar ($) on the
rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all
rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole
of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each
and every year during the currency of the said loan or until
the loan is fully paid off.”

Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $54,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of purchasing property and the costs of raising the loan
within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council
hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one six cents
(.016c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved value
