HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL


NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Hutt County Council, being a local authority within the meaning of the Public Works Act 1928, having executed a public work, namely, the establishment of a rubbish tip at Coast Road, Wainuiomata, situated on the eastern side of Coast Road approximately 8 chains south of the southern boundary of the Hutt County Council’s sewage treatment plant, but title not having been taken to the land described in the Schedule hereto, requires to take such land for the purpose of such public work; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk to the said Council situate in Bowen House, Bowen Street, Wellington, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

Every person affected by the taking of the said lands must set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and send the written objection within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk, Hutt County Council, Bowen House, Bowen Street, Wellington. If any such objection is made a public hearing of the objection will be heard, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated in the County of Hutt containing thirty acres two roods fourteen perches (30a. 2r. 14p.) more or less, situate in Block XVI of the Belmont Survey District, being part of Sections 6 and 63 of the Wainuiomata District and being also Lot 1 on Deposited Plan Number 14585 and being also part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 597, folio 246 (Wellington Registry), which said piece of land is situate on the eastern side of Coast Road, Wainuiomata, approximately 8 chains south of the southern boundary of the Hutt County Council’s sewage treatment plant.

BOROUGH OF MOUNT ALBERT


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of $12,000, known as the Tram Track Roading Redemption Loan 1967 of $12,000, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Tram Track Roading Loan 1957 of $176,000 which matures on 14 March 1968, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought two three (.0023) of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Given under the Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Mount Albert, this 27th day of February 1968.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats (Tainui Block) Loan 1967 of $27,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest on a loan of $27,000 authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of providing accommodation for aged persons, the said Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0054 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 25th day of January 1968, No. 4, at page 106; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 40 years from the date of the raising of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Wanganui City Council held on the 28th day of February 1968.

THE CENTRAL WAIKATO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

General Reticulation Loan (1967), $400,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Central Waikato Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) authorised to be raised by the Central Waikato Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of financing the further extensions and development of the Board’s reticulation system, including the purchasing and installation of centralised load control equipment for the benefit of the Board’s Electric Supply District, and for such purposes to do all of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Board’s Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Central Waikato Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal 0254 of a cent in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Central Waikato Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable annually on the 15th day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

The foregoing resolution was duly passed by the Central Waikato Electric Power Board at a meeting of the Board held on the 21st day of February 1968.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE

Redeption Loan No. 27, 1968-$30,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it, in that behalf, by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Maungaraki Development Loan No. 6, 1965-$60,000 which matures on 5 April 1968, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.210 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) on all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of two years, or until such time as the loan is repaid.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 26 February 1968.
