Boundaries of County of Waikouaiti, and of North-East Valley Riding of County of Waikouaiti, Defined
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF WAIKOUAITI
ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded by a line commencing at Trig. "S", Swampy Hill, on the southern boundary of Block III, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly along a right line to Silver Peak Trig. Station; thence north-westerly along a right line to the easternmost corner of Block VI, Silverpeak Survey District, and along the north-eastern boundary of that Block VI to the southern boundary of Block IX, Silverpeak Survey District; thence westerly and northerly along the southern and western boundaries of that Block IX, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the right (north-western) bank of the Three O'Clock Stream; thence generally south-westerly along that bank of that stream to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Block VIII, Silverpeak Survey District; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of that Block VIII to the south-western corner of Run 171B; thence generally northerly along the western boundaries of that Run 171B and Runs 171G and 171C to a point due east of Trig. "D" Hummock; thence due west to Trig. "D" Hummock; thence north-westerly along a right line between Trig. "D" Hummock and a point on the right (north-western) bank of the Taieri River on the production of the south-western boundary of Run 714, Strath Taieri Survey District, to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Block VII, Strath Taieri Survey District; thence generally northerly along the eastern boundary of that Block VII to the westernmost corner of Section 19, Block VI, Budle Survey District; thence generally easterly along the northern boundaries of that Section 19 and Sections 18 and 22, Block VI aforesaid, to the north-western side of the Middlemarch-Nenthorn-Macraes Road and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the westernmost corner of Section 26, Block VI aforesaid; thence generally south-easterly and north-easterly along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of that Section 26 to its easternmost corner; thence generally north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Runs 121H and 121G to the north-western boundary of Block I, Highlay Survey District; thence south-westerly, north-easterly, south-easterly, and again north-easterly along the north-western, south-eastern, south-western, and south-eastern boundaries of that Block I to the middle of the Waikouaiti River (north branch); thence generally south-easterly down the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Hawksbury Survey District; thence generally easterly to and along the northern boundary of Hawksbury Survey District to the eastern side of No. 1 State Highway; thence generally southerly along the eastern side of that State Highway to and along the western boundary of Section 46, Block II, Hawksbury Survey District, to the left (north) bank of Watkin Creek; thence generally south-easterly along the left bank of that creek to its intersection with the right bank of the Pleasant River; thence along a line bearing 45° to the left bank of the Pleasant River; thence generally south-easterly along that bank of that river to the mean high-water mark of the Pacific Ocean; thence generally south-westerly and south-easterly along the mean high-water mark of that ocean and generally south-westerly along the mean high-water mark of the Otago Harbour to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 2, Block I, Lower Harbour West Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along the north-eastern boundary of that Section 2 to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Run 610; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary to the summit of the Umbrella Mountains; thence generally south-westerly along the summit of the Umbrella Mountains to Trig. Station "K", Black Umbrella; thence due south to the south-western boundary of Run 687; thence south-easterly along that boundary to peg LV on S.O. Plan 570; thence due east to the middle of the westernmost tributary of the Leithen Burn; thence generally south-easterly down the middle of the Leithen Burn and the Pomahaka River to a point due north of the westernmost corner of the land shown on D.P. 5574, Block III, Greenvale Survey District; thence due south to that corner and south-easterly along the south-western boundary and that land to its southernmost corner; thence along a right line bearing 29° 00' to the middle of the Pomahaka River; thence generally south-easterly down the middle of that river to a point due south of the easternmost corner of Lot 4, D.P. 2427; thence due north to the point of commencement.

thence north-westerly along that line to the south-western boundary of Section 63, Sawyers Bay Survey District; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that Section 63 to the northern side of Dalkeith Road; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along the north-western and north-eastern sides of that road to the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 7911; thence generally northerly along the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 7911, to its northernmost corner; thence north-easterly along the production of the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 7911, to its intersection with a right line parallel to and distant 250 links north-eastward from the north-eastern side of Reservoir Road;
