Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964
——
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

The Traffic (Patangata County) Notice 1967
——
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Patangata County) Notice 1967.
-
The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purpose of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of December in each year, and ending with the 10th day of February in the next ensuing year, and the period commencing with the Thursday preceding Easter, and ending with the Tuesday following Easter, shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Patangata County:
Makaramu Beach Road (from the Makaramu Beach to a point 24 chains, measured westerly generally along the said road).

The Traffic (Ashburton County) Notice 1967
——
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Ashburton County) Notice 1967.

The area and road specified in the First Schedule hereto, with the exception of the road specified in the Second Schedule hereto, are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles an hour speed-limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
-
The Warrant, under Section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 24th day of July 1958†, which relates to Rakaia Township in Ashburton County, is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Ashburton County at Rakaia:
Rakaia-Methven, via Barrhill Road (from West Town Belt to a point 20 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road).
That area at Rakaia, bounded by the southern bank of the Rakaia River; the north-western side of West Town Belt; the south-western side of the South Town Belt; the south-eastern side of the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff).

SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Ashburton County at Rakaia:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from the southern bank of the Rakaia River to the south-western side of the South Town Belt).

The area specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

SITUATED within Waikato County at Meremere Power Station Village:
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point being the intersection of the eastern side of the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) and the southern side of Island Block Road; thence southerly generally along the eastern side of the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to the northern side of Springhill Road; thence north-easterly and easterly generally along the northern side of Springhill Road to a point 39 chains measured along the said roadside from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff); thence north-easterly generally by a right line to a point on the southern side of Island Block Road 3 chains measured westerly generally along that roadside from the North Island Main Trunk Railway; thence westerly generally along the said southern side of Island Block Road to the commencing point.

Cancellation of Vesting in the Picton Borough Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve
——
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Picton and revokes the reservation for the erection of hot salt-water baths and municipal buildings over the land described in the Schedule hereto.
