Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Whakatane Borough Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for drainage purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Whakatane, in trust for that purpose.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—WHAKATANE BOROUGH

Lot 53, D.P. S. 10398, part Allotment 300, Waimana Parish, situated in Block II, Whakatane Survey District: Area, 23.5 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 6A, folio 1408.

Authorisation of the Exchange of a Reserve for Other Land

——

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby authorises the exchange of the reserve for scenic purposes described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

SECOND SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—WHANGAREI CITY

Description of Land to be Obtained in Lieu Thereof

Lot 1, D.P. 47892, being part Allotment 1, Whangarei Parish, situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District: Area, 1 acre and 17.7 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 6A, folio 219 (excepting earth and stone), and part certificate of title, Volume 1326, folio 21 (earth and stone only).

WHEREAS by virtue of the notice described in the First Schedule hereto, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is now subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, and it is desired to vary the same:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Poroporo Development Scheme Amending Notice 1967, No. 4.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3(1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
