Station; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of part Section 1, Block VII, Ohura Survey District, to and along a right line across Waitangata Road to and along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of part Section 9, Block III, Ohura Survey District, to its north-eastern corner; thence easterly generally along the southern boundaries of part Section 4, part Section 6, and Section 7, Block IV, Ohura Survey District, part Lot 1, D.P. 2716, and part Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 2717, to the south-eastern corner of the said Lot 3; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of that lot and easterly along the southern boundary of part Section 7, Block I, Rangi Survey District, and its production across Ararimu East Road to its eastern side; thence northerly generally along the eastern side of that road and Opotiki Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of part Section 8, Block I, Rangi Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary to the southern boundary of the Stratford-Okahukura Railway; thence generally easterly and south-easterly along the southern and south-western boundaries of that railway to the middle of the Ongarue River, being the point of commencement.

Alteration and Extension of the Boundaries of Alexandra Rabbit District (Notice No. Ag. 10148)

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Alexandra Rabbit District Order 1967.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Alexandra Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 11th day of May 1949*, are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE ALEXANDRA RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Counties of Raglan and Otorohanga, containing 39,950 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Allotment 254, Pirongia Parish, on the left bank of the Waipa River in Block XII, Alexandra Survey District, and proceeding southerly generally along that left bank and westerly up the middle of the Moakurarua Stream and along the right bank of the Ngutunui Stream to the eastern boundary of part Section 9, Block X, Pirongia Survey District; thence northerly along that eastern boundary, to and westerly and northerly along the southern and western boundaries of parts Waiwhakaata 3E 2, Section 4A and 3E 2, Section 4B (Walter Scott Scenic Reserve, N.Z. Gazette, 1966, page 1680), to and generally north-easterly along the generally south-eastern side of Scotts Road and its production to the generally eastern side of Pekanui Road; thence generally northerly along the last-mentioned roadside to and north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Section 22, Block X, Pirongia Survey District, to and north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Kopua 1s 2B 2B, the south-western end of a public road and the north-eastern boundary of Kopua 1s 2B 2B 2B, crossing the intervening Pekanui Road, to the northernmost corner of that block; thence generally north-easterly along the generally south-eastern boundary of Section 17, Block VI, Pirongia Survey District, to its easternmost corner, to and north-easterly along a right line crossing Pekanui Road aforesaid, Sections 4 and 15, Block VI aforesaid, and a permanent State forest (N.Z. Gazette, 1935, page 581) to the westernmost corner of Mangauika A 1 Block (State forest, N.Z. Gazette, 1934, page 2119); thence along the north-western boundary of that block and the north-western boundaries of Section 6, Block III, Pirongia Survey District (Scenic Reserve, N.Z. Gazette, 1924, page 2823) and Mangauika B 2, Section 2, to and north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Allotment 358 (State forest, N.Z. Gazette, 1931 page 552), to and generally north-easterly along the generally south-eastern side of a public road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 294 (Pirongia Mountain Scenic Reserve, N.Z. Gazette, 1961, page 101) shown on D.P. S. 734; thence along a right line across that road to and along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of the said Allotment 294, the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 296 and a right line across a public road, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 284, to and generally northerly along the generally eastern side of another public road to the northernmost corner of Allotment 282; thence generally north-westerly along a right line across that public road to the southernmost corner of Allotment 156 shown on D.P. 4424, to and generally north-westerly along the generally south-western boundary of the said Allotment 156, to and generally north-easterly along the generally south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 149A, 149, 148, and 147, the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 147 and 411, and the production of that last-mentioned boundary across Arthurs Road, to and along the eastern, north-eastern, and north-western boundaries of Allotment 137 and the north-western boundary of Allotment 138, to a point on the last-mentioned boundary, distant 800 links from the south-eastern corner of Allotment 382; thence north-westerly along a right line across that allotment to a point on its northern boundary distant 2,400 links from the north-eastern corner of the said Allotment 382; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Allotment 382, to and northerly along the eastern boundary of Allotment 381, to and easterly along the southern boundaries of Allotments 134 and 410, crossing the intervening Arthurs Road, to and generally northerly along the generally western boundaries of Allotments 144 and 143 and the generally eastern side of Arthurs Road to the south-western boundary of Allotment 129; thence south-westerly along a right line across Arthurs Road to the southernmost corner of part Allotment 311; thence generally westerly along the generally southern boundary of that allotment, to and westerly along the northern boundary of Allotment 376, to and generally northerly along the generally eastern boundary of Lot 2 of Allotment 374, to and generally easterly along the generally southern side of a public road forming the northern boundary of part Allotment 311 aforesaid, and its production to and generally southerly up the middle of the Te Pahu Stream to a point in line with the generally south-western boundary of Allotment 129; thence south-easterly along a right line across that public road, to and along the generally south-western boundary of Allotment 129 aforesaid, crossing the intervening public road, to the southernmost corner of that allotment; thence southerly along a right line across the said road to and southerly along the western side of Strongs Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 125A; thence easterly along a right line across Strongs Road, to and along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of the last-mentioned allotment, to and generally north-easterly along the generally north-western boundaries of part Allotment 120, the generally south-eastern side of a public road, and again part Allotment 120, to a point on the south-western side of Whatawhata-Te Rore Road in line with the north-western boundary of Allotment 205; thence north-easterly along a right line across that road, to and along the said boundary, the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 35898, and its production to and down the middle of the Rangitukia and Mangaone Streams to a point in line with the generally southern boundary of Allotment 248; thence generally easterly along a right line to and along the last-mentioned boundary to the western side of a public road; thence generally southerly along a right line across that road to and generally easterly along the generally northern boundaries of Allotment 261 and its production across a public road, to and north-easterly along the south-eastern side of that road to the point of commencement, all the aforesaid allotments being of the Parish of Pirongia.
