  1. The boundaries of the Kawhia Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 24th day of September 1947*, are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE KAWHIA RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Counties of Otorohanga and Raglan, containing 130,550 acres, more or less, commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 27, Block XIV, Karioi Survey District, and proceeding generally south-easterly along the generally south-western boundaries of Sections 27 and 19, Block XIV aforesaid, and the production of the last named boundary across Makomako Road and Makomako Stream, to and along the generally south-western boundaries of Section 18, Block XIV aforesaid, and part Section 7, Block XV, Karioi Survey District, to and generally easterly along the generally northern boundary of the County of Otorohanga, as described in N.Z. Gazette, 1956, page 421, to Trig. Station 1922 (Mahaukura) in Block III, Pirongia Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along the aforesaid county boundary and the north-western boundary of Mangauika A 1 to its westernmost corner (Trig. Station A); thence again south-westerly along a right line crossing a permanent State forest (N.Z. Gazette, 1935, page 581) Section 15, Section 4, and Pekanui Road to the easternmost corner of Section 17; thence generally south-westerly along the generally south-eastern boundary of Section 17, to and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Kopua 1s 2b 2b 2b, the south-western end of a public road and the north-eastern boundary of Kopua 1s 2b 2b, crossing the intervening Pekanui Road, to and south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Section 22, Block X, Pirongia Survey District, to and generally southerly along the generally eastern side of Pekanui Road aforesaid, to a point in line with the generally south-eastern side of Scotts Road; thence generally south-westerly to and along that roadside, to and southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 16, Block X aforesaid, to and easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of part Section 9, Block X aforesaid, to and generally easterly along the right bank of the Ngutunui Stream, the left bank of the Moakurarua Stream, the middle of the Mangatiti Stream to and westerly generally along the northern boundary of the County of Waitomo, as described in Gazette, 1956, page 423, to the southern boundary of Block XIV, Kawhia North Survey District; thence easterly along that block boundary to the right bank of the Waiharakeke Stream; thence north-easterly generally along that right bank and the generally south-eastern and northern shores of the Kawhia Harbour, the shores of the Tasman Sea, and the southern and eastern shores of the Aotea Harbour to and along the generally southern sides of Union Road and the Kawhia-Kauroa Road to the point of commencement.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Tokirima Rabbit District Order 1967.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Tokirima Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 17th day of December 1952*, are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE TOKIRIMA RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts comprising the Town District of Ohura and portions of the Borough of Taumarunui and the Counties of Stratford and Taumarunui containing 247,060 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Ongarue River on the south-western boundary of the Stratford-Okahukura Railway; thence southerly generally down the middle of that river and the Wanganui River to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 4, Block III, Hunua Survey District; thence southerly to and along that boundary to the generally north-eastern side of the Wanganui Valley Road; thence south-easterly generally along that side of the said road to a point due north of the western end of the southern boundary of Section 2, Block III aforesaid; thence southerly along a right line to that boundary; thence south-easterly along a right line to the easternmost corner of Section 9, Block III aforesaid; thence along the south-western boundary of Section 25, Block III aforesaid and the south-western boundaries of Sections 5, 6, and 7, Block VIII, Hunua Survey District, to a point due north of the easternmost corner of Section 8, Block VIII aforesaid; thence southerly along a right line to and along that boundary to the westernmost corner of Section 4, Block IX, Hunua Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundary of Section 8, Block VIII aforesaid, to and along the southern side of the Pokatea-Kokakonui Road and the south-eastern boundaries of Section 5, Block I, Kaitieke Survey District; thence south-westerly along the northern and north-western boundaries of Sections 7 and 1, Block I aforesaid, the northern and north-western boundaries of Sections 2 and 9, Block VIII, Retaruke Survey District, across the Kaitieke-Tawata Road, along the north-western boundaries of Section 3, Block VIII, Retaruke Survey District, a right line across Te Rata Road, to and along the generally southern boundaries of Sections 3, 2, and 4, Block VII, Retaruke Survey District, and passing through Section 12, Block VII aforesaid, along the southern and western boundaries of the former Section 10, Block VII aforesaid, to the middle of the Waipahiki Stream, and down the middle of that stream to its confluence with the Wanganui River; thence north-westerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of Maraekowhai A 3b 1 Block; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and the southern boundaries of Maraekowhai A 5f, A 5c 1, A 5E, and A 5H Blocks and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Tangarakau River; thence north-westerly generally up the middle of that river to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 9, Block VII, Pouatu Survey District; thence to and northerly along that boundary to a point in line with the eastern boundaries of Block III, Pouatu Survey District, and Block XV, Waro Survey District; thence northerly to and along those boundaries to the confiscation line; thence north-easterly along the confiscation line to the middle of the Tangarakau River; thence up the middle of that river to its confluence with the Waitaanga Stream; thence north-westerly generally up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the middle of a stream near the southern boundary of Section 2, Block VII, Waro Survey District; thence generally westerly to and up that stream to and along the northern side of Kotare Road and the southern boundaries of Section 1, Block VII, and Section 3, Block VI, Waro Survey District to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence generally northerly along the western boundaries of Sections 3, 7, 4, 5, and 6, Block VI, Waro Survey District, to the north-western corner of the said Section 6; thence easterly along the northern boundary of the said Section 6 of the Mohakatino Road; thence northerly along the Mohakatino Road to the Mangaone Stream and down the said stream to the point nearest the source of a stream intersecting the Mohakatino 1d East Block; thence along a right line to and down the said stream to its confluence with the Mohakatino Stream near the westernmost corner of Subdivision 1 of Section 1, Block III, Waro Survey District; thence up the Mohakatino Stream and easterly along the northern boundary of Section 7, Block III, Waro Survey District, to Tawhitiraupeka Trig. Station; thence generally northerly along the western boundary of Mokau-Mohakatino 1H Block and the original boundary of that block through Section 3, Block V, Mokau Survey District, and its production to the middle of the Mokau River; thence up the middle of that river to its confluence with the Panirau Stream; thence north-easterly generally up the middle of that stream to its source and along a right line to the intersection of the western boundary of part Section 1, Block IX, Aria Survey District, with the southern boundary of Section 9, Block V, Aria Survey District; thence southerly generally along the western boundaries of part Section 1 and Section 2, Block IX, and Sections 1, 2, and Sub. 2 of 3, Block XIII, Aria Survey District, to the northern boundary of Section 2, Block I, Ohura Survey District; thence easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 2 aforesaid, and Sections 3 and 4, Block I, Ohura Survey District, to the northernmost corner of Section 13, Block V, Ohura Survey District; thence south-easterly and north-easterly along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Sections 13 and 15, Block V, Ohura Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the said Section 15; thence southerly along the eastern side of the aforesaid Section 15 and its production to the middle of the Mangakara Stream; thence down the middle of that stream to its confluence with the Waitewhena Stream; thence up the middle of the Waitewhena Stream to a point in line with the eastern boundary of part Lot 3, D.P. 4850; thence southerly to and along the eastern boundary of part Lot 3 aforesaid, and its production across Ohura Road to the eastern side of that road; thence southerly along the eastern side of Ohura Road to the western boundary of part section 3s, Huia Settlement; thence southerly along that boundary to and easterly generally along the northern side of Huia Road to Kopuha Road; thence due east, along a right line across the said Kopuha Road, the Ohura River and Turoto Road to its eastern side; thence easterly generally along the southern boundary of Block VII, Ohura Survey District to the easternmost corner of part Section 7 of the aforesaid Block VII; thence north-easterly along a right line to Wharehanga Trig. Station; and again along a right line
