NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
——
NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, to take the land described in the First Schedule hereto for the purposes of a public work, namely, for an electrical substation site and an easement appurtenant thereto to convey and transmit electric power and energy over, under, and along the land described in the Second Schedule hereto with the ancillary rights set forth in the Third Schedule hereto. Every person affected should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said land and/or easement, not being an objection to the amount or the payment of compensation, and lodge the written objection at the offices of the Christchurch City Council, Manchester Street, Christchurch, within forty (40) days from the 2nd day of October 1967, being the date of the first publication of this notice, and if any such objection is made a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be notified of the time and place of any such hearing.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land situated in Block XIV of the Christchurch Survey District containing two acres twenty-two decimal four perches (2 a. 22.4 p.), or thereabouts, being part Rural Sections 1805 and 2559 and being also part of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 105, folio 52 (Canterbury Registry), subject to Proclamation 501541 defining the middle line of a transmission line; as the same is shown coloured orange on a plan deposited at the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch as S.O. 10841, being an area of land fronting Sparks Road in Halswell County.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land situated in Block XIV of the Christchurch Survey District containing one rood (1 r.), or thereabouts, being part Rural Sections 1805 and 2559 and being also part of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 105, folio 52 (Canterbury Registry), subject to Proclamation 501541 defining the middle line of a transmission line; as the same is shown coloured orange on a plan deposited at the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch as S.O. 10863, being a strip of land approximately 40 links in width lying between the land described in the First Schedule hereto and Milnes Road in Halswell County.
THIRD SCHEDULE
THE easement to convey and transmit electric power and energy over, under, and along the land described in the Second Schedule hereto shall include the right, liberty, and privilege for the Christchurch City Council from time to time and at all times hereafter to convey and transmit electric power and energy over, under, and along the said land by means of overhead and underground cable or cables now or hereafter to be erected or laid and any cable or cables erected or laid in substitution therefor together with the right to enter upon the said land with or without vehicles, plant, equipment, and implements and to erect and construct thereon such poles, pylons, cable ducts, and other structures as may be necessary or desirable for any purpose connected with the said easement and for the inspection, maintenance, installation, repair, and/or replacement of the said cable or cables and any associated equipment or fittings so that the same may at all times be kept in good and efficient working order and the right of access along the said land from the public road known as Milnes Road to the land described in the First Schedule hereto.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR RECREATION PURPOSES
——
NOTICE is hereby given that the Thames Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a public work, namely, the taking for recreation purposes of all that piece of land containing 1 acre 1 rood 5.3 perches, more or less, situated at the end of Mount Sea Road in the Borough of Thames, being Lot 1 on Land Transfer Plan numbered S.10089, being part Church Mission Society’s Grant subject to a right-of-way reserved in favour of the owner for the time being, of Section 74, certificate of title, Volume 565, folio 143 (South Auckland Registry), and subject to payment of $50 compensation to the New Zealand Mission Trust Board. A copy of the said plan is available for inspection at the office of the said Borough Council in Mary Street, Thames, during office hours. All persons affected by the said taking who have any objections to such taking, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objections in writing and send same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Thames Borough Council at its said office in Mary Street, Thames, i.e., on or before the 15th day of November 1967.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
——
NOTICE is hereby given that the Paparua County Council acting on behalf of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Paparua, proposes to take, pursuant to the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, the land described in the Schedule hereto together with all buildings and appliances and conveniences thereon, for the purpose of maintaining public swimming baths. Every person affected by the proposed taking or by the proposed work is hereby called upon to set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send the written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Paparua County Council, P.O. Box 11011, Christchurch. If any such notice of objection is received a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land situated in Block XVI of the Rolleston Survey District, containing 32 perches, more or less, being Lot 2 on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office as number 3258, part of Rural Section 3124, and being all the land in certificate of title, Volume 270, folio 16, the registered proprietors of the land being George Bailey, farmer; George Phillip Kissell, storekeeper; David Sinclair, schoolmaster; Frank Samuel Maddison, farmer, and Robert David Cooke, butcher, all of Templeton.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wellington City Te Aro Flat Development Loan 1967 of $100,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 2nd day of October 1967:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to be known as the Wellington City Te Aro Flat Development Loan 1967 of $100,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of acquiring essential property, clearing of land, construction of streets and service lanes, and incidental works for redevelopment of Te Aro Flat, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought six cents (.006c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Library Additional Renewal Loan 1967, $8,600
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows.
“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of eight thousand six hundred dollars ($8,600), authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Library Additional Loan 1957, $11,000 which matures on 21 October 1967, the said Blenheim Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-one-thousandths of a cent (.011c) in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim, and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st
