Declaring Land in Canterbury Land District, Vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a Site for a Public School, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH

Lots 28 and 29, D.P. No. 3416, being part Rural Section 24077, situated in the City of Christchurch: Area, 3 acres 3 roods 20.5 perches, more or less. All certificates of title, Volume 352, folio 202, and Volume 399, folio 278.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 3rd day of February 1967.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae for the common use and benefit of all Maoris generally.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for the common use and benefit of the Ngati-Tarawhai hapu of the Te Arawa tribe.

PURSUANT to section 439 (5) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in Council made on 16 April 1963, and published in the Gazette, 24 April 1963, No. 24, p. 553, and affecting the land set out in the Schedule hereto.
