Crown Land Set Apart for the Purposes of the Maori Housing Act 1935

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 2 of the Maori Housing Amendment Act 1938, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948, described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart for the purposes of the Maori Housing Act 1935.

Amending Declaration of Land in Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation District to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as follows:
- (i) This Proclamation may be cited as the Tukituki Wildlife Refuge Declaration;
(ii) This Proclamation shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

That part of the Proclamation made on the 5th day of March 1957*, declaring the area described in the First Schedule hereto, to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, is hereby revoked.

The area described in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby declared to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953.

PARTS of Lots 1 of D.P. 3168, 2 of D.P. 3222, 3 of D.P. 7381, 1 of D.P. 7410, 4 and 6 of D.P. 7468, 2 of D.P. 7801, 1 of D.P. 8821, 1 of D.P. 8874, and Lot 8, D.P. 7381, situated in Blocks VIII and XII, Te Mata Survey District, and Block IV, Kidnapper Survey District.
As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/321 deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Revoking a Wildlife Refuge in the Auckland Acclimatisation District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation issued on the 15th day of August 1947* declaring the area of land in the Auckland Acclimatisation District, described in the Schedule hereto, to be a sanctuary for the purposes of the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921–22.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the North Auckland Land District, containing approximately 4,200 acres, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at a point at the south-western corner of Section 353, Waiuku West Parish, and proceeding thence along its south-eastern boundary to a road forming the southern boundary of Lot 3 on D.P. 12202, and along the southern side of that road to the south-western corner of Allotment 210, Waiuku West Parish (S.O. 31085), and along its southern boundary, the northern boundary of part Allotment 191, part Allotment 45, part Allotment 44, and part Allotment 43, Waiuku West Parish (S.O. 31085), north-eastern boundary of Allotments 42 and 41, Section 2, Waiuku West Parish (S.O. 29045), north-western and south-western boundaries of Allotment 38, Suburban Section 2, Waiuku Parish; thence by the latter boundary continued across Allotment 211, Waiuku West Parish, and along the boundary of Allotment 211 to the northern boundary of Allotment 34, Section 2, Waiuku West Parish, and along that boundary continued to the north-western corner of Allotment Part 24, Section 2, Waiuku West Parish, and along the northern boundary of Allotments Part 24 and Part 23, Section 2, Waiuku West Parish (S.O. 29067), and the western boundary of Lot 22, Section 2, Waiuku West Parish (S.O. 3723), western and southern boundaries of Allotment 212, Waiuku West Parish, south-eastern boundaries of Crown land, and Allotment 26, Settlement of Maioro, Suburban Section 2, Waiuku Parish (S.O. 33611), crossing a public road, to and along the north-eastern boundary of part Allotment 80, Waiuku West Parish (S.O. 30579), to a public road; thence by that road and the southern boundary generally of Allotment 189, Waiuku West Parish (S.O. 17307), to the Maioro Stream; thence by the Maioro Stream, the Waikato River, and the sea to the point of commencement.
