NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Napier City Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, to widen portion of Warren Street in the City of Napier, and for the purposes of or in connection with such public work, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is also given that the Napier City Council, deeming it expedient in connection with the said public work, proposes to take, under the provisions of section 191 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate in Tennyson Street, Napier, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land should, if they have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at his office aforesaid, and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
