RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Rangitikei River Control Scheme No. 2, Loan 1965, $186,000—Third Portion $10,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Rangitikei Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $10,000, being the third portion of the Rangitikei River Control Scheme No. 2, Loan 1965, $186,000, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei Catchment Board for the carrying out of the Rangitikei River Control Scheme No. 2, to make and levy a special rate on a graduated scale according to the Rangitikei River Control Scheme Classification list of the said area, as follows:

0.0629 cents in the dollar on class A land,
0.0503 cents in the dollar on class B land,
0.0377 cents in the dollar on class C land,
0.0251 cents in the dollar on class D land,
0.0126 cents in the dollar on class E land,
0.0063 cents in the dollar on class F land,

and shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable in one sum yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Cromwell Borough Sewerage Extension Loan No. 31967, $20,600—25 Years

THAT, at a special meeting of the Cromwell Borough Council held on 26 July 1967, the Council resolved that the security for the repayment of the said loan or any part thereof, and the interest thereon, shall be a specially recurring rate of not more than 0.756 cents in the dollar levied on the rateable unimproved value of the Borough.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Abattoir Loan 1966, $404,000—First Issue $304,000

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $304,000, authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing and equipping a new abattoir and associated works for Invercargill, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought seven three cents (.073c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill, and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 22 August 1967.

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Electricity Development Supplementary Loan 1967, $14,600

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of $14,600 to be known as the Electricity Development Supplementary Loan 1967, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the works for which the Electricity Development Loan 1964 of $146,000 was authorised, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one one two five of a cent (.01125 cents) in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru, and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 10 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 28th day of August 1967.

Notice of Application for Consent to Conditional Use

NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made by Otago Motors Ltd., of Dunedin, for consent to conditional use as a commercial garage and motor showroom, of the property first hereinafter mentioned, and as a service station, commercial garage, and motor showroom, of the property secondly hereinafter mentioned.

The properties are on the southern side of Mailer Street, Mornington, Dunedin. The properties are situated at: (a) the corner of Mailer Street and Brunel Street, Mornington, Dunedin; and at (b) No. 24 Mailer Street, Mornington, Dunedin, and are located in the commercial B zone.

The legal descriptions of the lands are: (a) Lot 1, Deposited Plan 11038, City of Dunedin, containing 23.81 perches, comprised in certificate of title No. ID/1193; and (b) Lot 3, Block V, Deeds Plan 41, City of Dunedin, containing 13.8 perches, comprised in certificate of title 284/29.

The application may be examined at the office of the Dunedin City Council, the Octagon, Dunedin, during normal office hours, and any person or body affected may object to the application by notice in writing, delivered to the Town Clerk, Dunedin City Corporation, P.O. Box 5045, Dunedin, not later than 4 p.m., on Monday, the 25th day of September 1967.

Each objector shall state the grounds of the objection and whether the objector wishes to be heard by the Council in support of his objection.

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Ngaruawahia, taken on 19 August 1967, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $280,000 to be known as the Sewerage Loan 1967, for the purpose of installing a sewage disposal system for the borough resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 300
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 142
The number of informal votes was ..... 3

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
