At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 21st day of August 1967

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Electoral Poll Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Electoral Poll Order 1967.
  2. (1) The poll on the proposal that section 12 of the Electoral Act 1956 be amended by changing the term of the House of Representatives shall be taken on the 23rd day of September 1967.
    (2) The day for the closing of the rolls for the purposes of the poll shall be the 23rd day of August 1967.
    (3) The day on or before which the Chief Electoral Officer shall ascertain and declare the result of the poll shall be the 12th day of October 1967.

PURSUANT to the Sale of Liquor Poll Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Sale of Liquor Poll Order 1967.
  2. (1) The poll on the proposal that provision be made changing the hours appointed for the sale and disposal of liquor in hotels, taverns, and chartered clubs shall be taken on the 23rd day of September 1967.
    (2) The day for the closing of the rolls for the purposes of the poll shall be the 23rd day of August 1967.
    (3) The day on or before which the Chief Electoral Officer shall ascertain and declare the result of the poll shall be the 12th day of October 1967.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:


ORDER

  1. This order shall take effect on the 1st day of October 1967.
  2. The area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Halswell and included in the City of Christchurch.
  3. The alteration of the boundaries of the said county and the said city hereinbefore made, shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Halswell County, containing 101 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch, as described in N.Z. Gazette, 1962, page 43, the said point being the southernmost corner of Lot 24, D.P. 20323 and proceeding south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 340 to the north-eastern
