Limited Speed Zone Declared
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:
-
The Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 8th day of October 1937†, and the Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 15th day of December 1959, which relate to the Hamilton-Paeroa State Highway in Morrinsville Borough are hereby revoked.

The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SITUATED within Morrinsville Borough:
No. 26 State Highway (Hamilton-Kopu) (from the south-western boundary of Morrinsville Borough to a point 30 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said highway from the said boundary, and from Seales Road to the north-eastern boundary of Morrinsville Borough).

SITUATED within Morrinsville Borough:

Closely Populated Locality and Limited Speed Zone Declared
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:
-
The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 27th day of November 1952†, and the Warrants under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 14th day of April 1958‡ and the 20th day of February 1963§, which relate to roads in Palmerston Borough and Waihemo County adjacent to Palmerston Borough, are hereby revoked.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from a point 16 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said highway from Stour Street to a point 27 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said highway from Thomas Street).
No. 85 State Highway (Palmerston-Alexandra) (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 1 chain measured north-westerly generally along the said highway from Brough Street).
Horse Range Road (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 10 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said road from the said highway).
Goodwood Road (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 2 chains measured southerly generally along the said road from Falcon Street).

Closely Populated Locality Declared
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:
-
The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 15th day of December 1959†, which relates to Mahia Township in Wairoa County, is hereby revoked.

The area specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon, at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of December each year, and ending with the 10th day of February in the next ensuing year, and the period commencing with the Thursday preceding Easter, and ending with the Tuesday following Easter, shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within the Wairoa County at Mahia Beach Township:
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the south-eastern side of Lochiel Street at its intersection with Kinikini Road at Taylors Bay; thence north-easterly generally along the said south-eastern side of Lochiel Street to the north-eastern side of Ratau Street; thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern side of Ratau Street to the south-eastern side of Fortescue Street; thence along that road-side to a point six chains measured north-easterly generally from Ratau Street; thence across Fortescue Street at right angles from its eastern side to its western side; thence south-westerly generally along the western side of Fortescue Street to Ratau Street; thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern side of Ratau Street to Newcastle Street; thence northerly and north-easterly generally along that road-side and across the Mahia-East Coast Road; thence by a right line due west to the sea coast of Hawke Bay; thence southerly generally along the shore of Mahia Bay and Hawke Bay to a point opposite the commencing point; thence across the Kinikini Road to the commencing point.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway from and after the 25th day of August 1967.
