Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being part of provisional State forest reserve No. 1611, set apart by Proclamation dated the 11th day of October 1920, and published in Gazette, 14 October 1920, Volume III, p. 2839, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land and shall become Crown land, available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

PURSUANT to section 44 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated 22 December 1954, published in Gazette, 22 December 1954, Volume III, page 2070, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington, as No. 2391, declaring land to be a motorway, in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, the land being no longer required for that purpose.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the Licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council, dated the 15th day of May 1951, and published in the Gazette, on the 17th day of the same month, at page 672, authorising Ian Hugh Cameron, farmer, of “The Camden” Blenheim, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, the rights, powers, and privileges under the Order in Council having been assigned to Edward Lyndon Peter, of Kaikoura, and John Lyndon Peter, of Blenheim, both farmers, by an Order in Council dated the 18th day of November 1963, and published in the Gazette, on the 28th day of the same month, at page 1908.
