THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
No. 47

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-nine thousand six hundred pounds (£29,600) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 33, 1967, £29,600, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Works Loan 1957, £700,000, which matures on 1 August 1967, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth of one penny (¹⁄₁₅ of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 28th day of June 1967.

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £100,000, authorised to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board for the purpose of purchasing land for sludge disposal, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes a special rate of £0.000027157 in the pound upon the capital rateable value of an area described in Schedule C and in Schedule B (as altered from time to time in terms of section 5 (f) of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act 1922, and section 60 (6) of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951) to a resolution of the Board, dated the 17th day of April 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 37, of the 26th day of April 1923, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board held on 27 June 1967.

OTAGO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD


RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE


General Extension Loan 1967, $300,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otago Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s General Extension Loan 1967, $300,000, authorised to be raised by the Otago Electric Power Board under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s inner area of supply including the augmenting of existing lines and substations and meeting costs incidental thereto, the Otago Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought three eight of a cent (.038c) in the dollar on the capital rateable value of all rateable property within the Otago Electric Power District; and it is hereby further resolved that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said General Extension Loan 1967, $300,000, or until the said loan has been fully repaid; and the special rate be and the same is hereby appropriated and pledged as security for the repayment of the said loan, and for payment of interest thereon and other charges under the securities to be issued in respect of the said loan.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Otago Electric Power Board held on the 18th day of July 1967.

RAETIHI BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Raetihi Borough Council resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $4,000, authorised to be raised by the Raetihi Borough Council for the purpose of purchasing tractor and equipment, the said Raetihi Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of $0.0051 in the dollar on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Raetihi, which such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Raetihi Borough Council at its meeting, held on the 18th day of July 1967.

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Renewal Loan No. 1, 1697 of $69,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $69,000 (£34,500), authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying portions of the Bridges Loan 1952 and the Street Improvements Loan 1952, maturing on 17 August 1967, the Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.045c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the City of Gisborne; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Gisborne City Council held on the 18 July 1967.

THE WANGANUI-RANGITIKEI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-Power Board hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and repayment charges and all other expenses on the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-Power Board’s Renewal Loan 1967, of $80,000, to be raised pursuant to the above-mentioned authority, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0073 cents in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all the rateable property in the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-Power Board district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the aforesaid loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, but not exceeding a period of 10 years.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-Power Board held on the 18th day of July 1967.

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Vehicle Testing Station Loan 1967, $42,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of $42,000, to be known as the Vehicle Testing Station Loan 1967, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a building for a two-lane vehicle testing station, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought six seven seven five cents (.06775 cents) in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru, and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 24th day of July 1967.
