BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Blenheim Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act to execute a certain public work, namely, subdivision for housing purposes behind Weld Street, in the Borough of Blenheim, and for the purpose of such public work the lands required in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Alfred Street, Blenheim, and is open for inspection without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any objection as to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, not being an objection as to the payment or amount of compensation, must state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, at the Council Chambers, Alfred Street, Blenheim.
If any objection is received as aforesaid, public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of such hearing.
SCHEDULE
Firstly: 33.5 perches, more or less, being part Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 2370, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 56, folio 316 (Marlborough Registry), situated in Weld Street, Blenheim, and being outlined in blue on the plan of the said lands required to be taken.
Secondly: 1 rood 7.4 perches, more or less, being part Lot 11 on Deposited Plan No. 1121, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 44, folio 194 (Marlborough Registry), situate in Weld Street, Blenheim, and being coloured brown on the plan of the said lands required to be taken.
Thirdly: 1 rood 7.4 perches, more or less, being part Lot 12 on Deposited Plan No. 1121, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 47, folio 216 (Marlborough Registry), situated in Weld Street, Blenheim, and being outlined in yellow on the plan of the said lands required to be taken.
Fourthly: 1 rood 7.4 perches, more or less, being part Lot 14 on Deposited Plan No. 1121, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 45, folio 203 (Marlborough Registry), situate in Weld Street, Blenheim, and being outlined in brown on the plan of the said lands required to be taken.

COUNTY OF BRUCE
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and of the Counties Act 1956, notice is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the above Acts to execute certain public works, namely, the construction of roads, and for the purposes of those public works the lands described in the Schedules hereto are required to be taken for road, or for the purposes of a road; and notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the County Office, at Milton, and are there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of the said lands should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send such written objection within 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice, namely, the 3rd day of June 1967, to the County Clerk at Milton and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and that each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

OTAGO LAND REGISTRY
Lands Required for Road
(1) All that part of Section 15, Block XII, Town of Waihola, containing an area of 34.8 poles, shown coloured red on S.O. Plan 12917, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 40, folio 293, of which Peter Gordon, of unknown address, is the registered proprietor.
(2) All that part of Section 16, Block XII, Town of Waihola, containing an area of 23 poles, shown coloured orange on S.O. Plan 12917, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 33, folio 54, of which William Black, of unknown address, is the registered proprietor.
The above parcels of land (1) and (2), lie between the road fences of the Waihola to Taieri Mouth Road and are situated between five and eight chains south of Mr Ivan McDonald’s garage.
(3) All that parcel of land, being part Sections 1 and 2, Block V, North Molyneux Survey District, containing an area of 39.6 poles, shown coloured sepia on S.O. Plan 13156, and being land comprised in Deeds Index E 85 by conveyance recorded in Deeds Volume 95, folio 280, to J. P. Maitland, and others, of address unknown. This parcel of land lies on the north side of the Balclutha-Kaitangata Road, between fourteen and nineteen chains west of the northern end of the Kaitangata Bridge.
(4) All that part of Section 9, Block XII, Inch Clutha Survey District, containing an area of 25 poles, shown coloured sepia on S.O. Plan 13306, and being land comprised in Deeds Index O 783. This parcel of land lies between the Matau Branch of the Clutha River and the road boundary fence of Mr A. S. McDiarmid’s property, on Riverside Road, running south-westerly for some two chains from the south-west boundary fence of the Stirling Presbyterian Church. It is in use as road. It was part of the land conveyed in 1874 by Mr John Petchell to Mr Joseph Smith, of address unknown.
(5) All that part of Section 9, Block XII, Inch Clutha Survey District, containing an area of one rood seven poles, shown coloured orange on S.O. Plan 13306, and being land comprised in Deeds Index O 782. This parcel of land lies between the Matau Branch of the Clutha River and the road boundaries and nominal road boundaries on the south-east side of Riverside Road, running south-westerly from opposite the Stirling Presbyterian Church for some nine chains. It is in use as road. It was part of the land belonging in 1874 to Mr John Petchell, of address unknown.
Lands Required for the Purposes of a Road
(1) All that part of Section 15, Block XII, Town of Waihola, containing an area of 4.7 poles, shown coloured pink, edged pink, on S.O. Plan 12917, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 40, folio 293, of which Peter Gordon, of unknown address, is the registered proprietor. This is a small triangle of land on the east side of the Waihola to Taieri Mouth Road about six chains south of Mr Ivan McDonald’s garage.
(2) All that part of Section 15, Block XII, Town of Waihola, containing an area of 0.8 poles, shown coloured pink, edged pink, on S.O. Plan 12917, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 40, folio 293, of which Peter Gordon, of unknown address, is the registered proprietor. This is a small triangle of land on the west side of the Waihola to Taieri Mouth Road about seven chains south of Mr Ivan McDonald’s garage.
(3) All that part of Section 16, Block XII, Town of Waihola, containing an area of 17.3 poles, shown coloured orange edged orange, on S.O. Plan 12917, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 33, folio 54, of which William Black, of unknown address, is the registered proprietor. This land lies on top of the bluff on the west side of the Waihola to Taieri Mouth Road between five and seven chains south of Mr Ivan McDonald’s garage.

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Worker’s Dwelling Loan 1967, £5,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hobson County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000, authorised to be raised by the Hobson County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and an existing house, or purchasing land and erecting a house thereon, the said Hobson County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five five pence (.055d.) in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Hobson, and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 20th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Hobson County Council held on the 21st day of April 1967.
