HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Esk Rural Fire District Order 1963, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with, and deemed part of the order constituting the Esk Rural Fire District, made on the 11th day of November 1963.

  2. The Esk Rural Fire District Order 1963* may hereinafter be cited as the principal order.

  3. The first Schedule to the principal order is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule thereto and substituting the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this order.


SCHEDULE

SCHEDULE to be substituted for the first Schedule to the principal order:

“FIRST SCHEDULE

“HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY—ESK RURAL FIRE DISTRICT

“ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, containing approximately 36,900 acres situated in Blocks V, VI, VII, IX, X, XI, XIII, XIV, and XV, Maungaharuru Survey District, Blocks I, II, and III, Puketapu Survey District, Block XVI, Pohue Survey District, and Block IV, Patoka Survey District, and bounded generally as follows:

Commencing at the junction of the Otakowai Stream with the Esk River in Block III, Puketapu Survey District; thence generally in a westerly direction along the left bank of the Otakowai Stream to a point opposite the north-western corner of part Block 114, Block I, Puketapu Survey District; thence generally in a southerly direction by a right line across the Otakowai Stream, along the western boundary of the aforesaid Block 114, to the No. 5 State Highway and by a right line across the aforesaid highway; thence in a north-westerly direction along the southern side of the No. 5 State Highway to the southernmost corner of part Lot 1, D.P. 3955, Block I, Puketapu Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of part Lot 1, D.P. 3955, aforesaid, part Taupo Road Rural Section 20, Section 93, Block XIII, Maungaharuru Survey District, and Block 108, Puketapu Crown Grant District, to the Mangaone River; thence generally in a northerly direction along the left bank of the Mangaone River to its junction with Waterfall and Kings Streams; thence in a northerly and westerly direction by Waterfall Stream to a point on the northern boundary of Section 15, Block XVI, Pohue Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of Section 15, aforesaid, to the Rukumoana Road; thence generally in a northerly direction along the western side of the Rukumoana Road; thence by a right line across the Rukumoana Road and along the western boundary of Section 3, Block XVI, Pohue Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section 3, aforesaid; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of Section 3, aforesaid, and Section 2, Block XVI, Pohue Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of Section 2, aforesaid; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of Section 2, aforesaid, to the north-western corner of Taupo Road, Rural Section 72; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of Section 72, aforesaid, to the Kings Stream; thence in a northerly and easterly direction by Kings Stream to a point on the northern boundary of Taupo Road, Rural Section 58, Block XIII, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Section 58,

aforesaid, to the Richmond Road; thence generally in a northerly direction along the western side of the Richmond Road to its junction with the No. 5 State Highway, and along the western side of the aforesaid highway to a point opposite the south-western corner of part Lot 1, D.P. 3831, Block IX, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence by a right line across the No. 5 State Highway and generally in a north-easterly direction along the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid part Lot 1, to its easternmost corner; thence by a right line passing through Trig. Station J 1 to the south-western boundary of part Lot 2, D.P. 3832; thence generally in a south-easterly and north-easterly direction along the south-western boundary and south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid part Lot 2 to its junction with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 3832, Block VI, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence by a line bearing 41° to the right bank of the Esk River; thence in a south-easterly direction along the right bank of the Esk River to a point on the western side of the Ohurakura road; thence generally in a north-easterly direction along the western side of the Ohurakura road to the south-eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 3832, Block VI, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 3832, aforesaid, to its easternmost corner; thence generally in an easterly direction along the southern boundaries of the Maungaharuru Block in Block VII, Maungaharuru Survey District, to the Ohurakura road; thence by a right line across the aforesaid road, and again along the southern boundary of the Maungaharuru Block, aforesaid, to the western bank of the Waikoau River; thence generally in a southerly direction along the right bank of the Waikoau River to a point opposite the south-western corner of part Section 11, Block VIII, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence easterly by a right line across the Waikoau River and along the southern boundary of part Section 11, aforesaid, to the north-western corner of Section 13, Block VII, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence generally in a south-easterly direction along the south-western boundary of Section 13, aforesaid, to the Erinore Road; thence by a right line across the Erinore Road and in a south-westerly direction along the southern boundary of the aforementioned road to the north-western corner of Section 14, Block VII, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence generally in a southerly direction along the western boundaries of the aforesaid Section 14, and part Section 21, Block VIII, Maungaharuru Survey District, and by a right line across the Waikoau River at the junction of a southern tributary stream; thence south-westerly by that tributary stream to a point on the Waikoau-Tutira road; thence by a right line across the aforesaid road and generally in a south-westerly direction along the southern boundary of the Waikoau-Tutira road to the overbridge of the East Coast Main Trunk railway and along the eastern side of the East Coast Main Trunk railway reserve to the northern boundary of Section 3, Block XV, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence westerly by a right line across the railway reserve, along the northern boundary of Section 3, Block XV, aforesaid, to the Esk River, and by a right line across the Esk River; thence generally in a southerly direction along the right bank of the Esk River to the point of commencement.

As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. N. 124/1 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.”

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Tawera Rabbit District Amending Order 1967, and shall be read together with, and deemed part of, the Order in Council constituting the Tawera Rabbit District, published in the Gazette of 13 January 1966, at page 5 (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

  2. The principal order is hereby amended by omitting the words “being an order to which subsection (1) of section 14 of the Rabbits Act 1955 applies”.
