The Southland Boys’ and Girls’ High Schools Board of
Governors Order 1967

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 1st day of
May 1967

Present:

THE HON. T. P. SHAND, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 50 of the Education Act 1964, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Southland Boys’ and
    Girls’ High Schools Board of Governors Order 1967.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of
    August 1967.
  2. The Southland Boys’ and Girls’ High Schools Board is
    hereby constituted as follows:
    (a) Two members appointed by the Southland Education
    Board;
    (b) Seven members elected by the parents of pupils, of
    whom six shall be elected by the parents of the pupils who
    are attending schools under the control of the Board in the
    City of Invercargill, and one shall be elected by the parents
    of the pupils who are attending any other school under the
    control of the Board.

Retirement of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Air
Force

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air
Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has
been pleased to approve the following appointments, promo-
tion, extensions of commissions, termination of commission,
and retirement of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air
Force.

REGULAR AIR FORCE
GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH
Appointment

Flight Lieutenant Peter David Smillie (528679) is granted
a career commission in the General Duties Branch, Regular
Air Force, until 17 December 1979.

TECHNICAL BRANCH
Appointment

Engineer Division

Officer Cadet Robert Alexander Keown (80787) is granted
a permanent commission in the Technical Branch (Engineer
Division), Regular Air Force, in the rank of Flying Officer,
with seniority and effect from 1 January 1967.

Extension of Commission

Signals Division

Flying Officer Gordon Waugh (76819) is granted an exten-
sion of his commission until 6 July 1973.

EDUCATION BRANCH
Appointment

Flight Lieutenant John Kendrick Barry (621324) is granted
a permanent commission in the Education Branch, Regular
Air Force, with effect from 25 January 1967.

RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS
Extensions of Commissions

The under-mentioned officers are granted extensions of
their commissions until the date shown:

Flight Lieutenant (temp.) Michael William Bond (133967),
28 February 1971.
Pilot Officer Stuart Richard Holford, M.A., DIP.TCHG.

Termination of Commission

The commission of Flight Lieutenant Ronald Leslie House
(131609) is terminated, with effect from 19 March 1967.

Retirement

Flight Lieutenant Cyril Francis Bromley, A.R.A.N.Z., A.C.I.S.
(132022) is retired, with effect from 30 March 1967.

AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointment

Pilot Officer Leo Stephenson Bates to be temporary Flying
Officer, with effect from 1 April 1967.

Promotion

Flying Officer Noel Laurenson to be Flight Lieutenant, with
effect from 7 March 1967.
