Authorising the Tauranga Electric Power Board to Purchase Electric Works

PURSUANT to section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Tauranga Electric Power Board to purchase electric works as the same are specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
THE Aongatete and Te Puke Substations of the New Zealand Electricity Department and portion of the Department’s 50,000 volt transmission line from its Tauranga Substation to its Aongatete Substation extending approximately 8 miles to the northern boundary of the Tauranga Electric Power District, together with portion of the 50,000 volt transmission line from the Department’s Tauranga Substation to its Te Puke Substation and extending approximately 16½ miles to the eastern boundary of the Tauranga Electric Power District, together also with all supports and associated equipment.

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares the Kawarau Rabbit District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 3rd day of August 1949*, and the Wakatipu Rabbit District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 22nd day of June 1935†, to be united and to form one district having the name of the Wakatipu Rabbit District, the boundaries of which shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto, and, further, declares that the basis on which the Rabbit Board for the said district shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of the land occupied by the rate-payer.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE WAKATIPU RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Lake and Vincent Counties, and Queenstown and Arrowtown Boroughs, containing 184,300 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station F.F. on the south-eastern boundary of Block IV, Crown Survey District, and proceeding south-westerly and generally northerly along the south-eastern and western boundaries of Crown Survey District, and again generally northerly along the watershed between the Cardrona and Arrow Rivers to the south-western corner of Section 5, Block I, Knuckle Peak Survey District; thence generally northerly, westerly, and southerly along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of Run 25, and south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Soho Creek and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Arrow River; thence generally south-westerly down the middle of the Arrow River to a point in line with the middle of Bush Creek; thence generally westerly to and up the middle of Bush Creek to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 24, Block XVII, Shotover Survey District; thence southerly and generally north-westerly along the eastern and south-western boundary of Run 26 to the south-eastern corner of Section 30, Block XVII, Shotover Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line to the Plane Table on Skippers Road, Block XVI, Shotover Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line to the south-western corner of Run 737, Block XIX, Shotover Survey District, and its production to the middle of the Shotover River; thence generally southerly down the middle of the Shotover River to the north-western side of the Arthurs Point Bridge; thence generally southerly along the western side of the Queenstown-Arrowtown Road to the north-western boundary of the Town of Queenstown; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the south-western corner of Section 75, Block XX, Shotover Survey District, and south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that Section and its production to the south-eastern side of Suburb Street, Town of Queenstown; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Suburb Street, and its production to a point on the northern shore of the Frankton Arm, Lake Wakatipu; thence generally north-easterly, south-easterly, and south-westerly
