(iii) The power of the bulb in each lamp shall not be less than 15 watts and not more than 36 watts;
(iv) The lights shall begin to flash not later than one second after the controlling switch is operated. When in operation the lights shall flash constantly at a rate of not less than 60 or more than 120 flashes per minute;
(v) The lights to indicate a right hand turn shall be fitted near the right side of the vehicle and those to indicate a left hand turn near the left side of the vehicle;
(vi) A device shall be fitted so that the driver, when in his seat, is readily aware when the direction indicators are in operation and also when any indicator light fails to function.
Provided that the light showing to the front may be incorporated in the side-light assembly of the vehicle and the light showing to the rear may be incorporated in the tail-light assembly, subject to the power of the side light or tail light, as the case may be, not exceeding 7 watts, and subject to bulbs in the flashing lamps having either bulbs or electric filaments separate from those used for the side light or tail light, as the case may be.

Boundaries of the County of Ellesmere and of the Greenpark Riding of the County of Ellesmere Defined

PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the County of Ellesmere and of the Greenpark Riding of the County of Ellesmere, the previous boundaries having been altered by Orders in Council made on the 19th day of February 1963, the 25th day of March 1963, and on the 27th day of October 1965, and published in Gazette, 28 February 1963, No. 14, page 266, 28 March 1963, No. 19, page 406, and 4 November 1965, No. 64, page 1887.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF EELLESMORE
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing 288,051 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in line with the middle of the Rakaia River and proceeding north-westerly up the middle of that river (passing through Great Island) to a point in line with the middle of Steels Road, Block II, Hall Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along the middle of that road to the middle of Rakaia Terrace Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of that road to the middle of West Boundary Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Reserve 1765; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Ardlui Road; thence northerly and north-easterly along the middle of that road and a road forming the north-western boundary of Rural Section 37002 and passing through part Reserve 1834 to the middle of Hororata - Dunsandel Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of that road to the middle of a road passing through Reserves 3373 and 1763, and forming the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 5 and 6, D.P. 3012, and Rural Section 10806; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road and its production to the middle of the Selwyn River; thence south-easterly down the middle of that river to the middle of the South Island Main Trunk Railway; thence north-easterly along the middle of that railway to a point in line with the middle of the Main South Road No. 1 National State Highway (approximately ΒΎ mile north-east of Rolleston Township) and continuing north-easterly to and along that highway to a point in line with the middle of Weedons Road; thence south-easterly to and along the middle of that road and Boundary Road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of part Rural Section 3041, comprised in C.T. 155/179; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of the said Rural Section 3041, Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 23281, Part Lot 2, D.P. 21227, and part Lot 1, D.P. 5775, comprised in C.T. 387/198, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary, to the middle of Prebbleton-Lincoln Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of that road to a right line between the southernmost corner of part Lot 2, D.P. 21227, and the northernmost corner of part Rural Section 1532, comprised in C.T. 143/247; thence south-easterly along that right line across the Hornby Industrial Line to the north-eastern most corner of the said part Rural Section 1532; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that part Rural Section 1532 to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 13659; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary
and Lot 1, D.P. 14543, to the easternmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 14543, and continuing south-easterly through part Lot 4, D.P. 13659, and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 14543, Lot 2, D.P. 21713, Lot 3, D.P. 13659, and Lots 3, 4, 5, and 6, D.P. 13270, to the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned lot; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that lot and its production to the middle of Lincoln-Taitapu Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of that road to the middle of the Halswell River; thence south-easterly and south-westerly down the middle of that river to its mouth at Lake Ellesmere; thence south-westerly along a right line to the original outlet of Lake Ellesmere on the sea coast (east of Maori Res. 878); thence south-westerly along the sea coast to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF GREENPARK RIDING
ALL that area in the County of Ellesmere, Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the mouth of the Selwyn River on the northern shore of Lake Ellesmere, Block XVI, Leeston Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly up the middle of the Selwyn River to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 10260; thence northerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Pannetts Road; thence easterly along the middle of that road, northerly generally to and along the middle of Curries and Tramway Roads, easterly to and along the middle of Collins Road, northerly to and along the middle of Springs Road to the north-eastern boundary of the Ellesmere County, hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly generally along that boundary to the northern shore of Lake Ellesmere; thence north-westerly generally along the general north-eastern shore of that lake to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the County of Paparua and of the Broadfield Riding of the County of Paparua, the previous boundaries having been altered by Order in Council made on the 27th day of October 1965 and published in Gazette, 4 November 1965, No. 64, page 1887.
