Declaring Land in Southland Land District, Vested in the Southland Education Board as a Site for a Public School, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Southland Education Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—INVERCARGILL CITY

PART Section 11, Block LXVI, Town of Invercargill: Area, 32.8 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 59, folio 126.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 19th day of April 1967.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 10th day of April 1967

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Rotorua County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of road containing 2 acres 1 rood 2.3 perches adjoining or passing through part Section 6, Block X, Rotorua Survey District and Maraeroa Oturoa No. 2B Block and Waiteti No. 2 Section 1B 3 Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 21183 (S.O. 43583) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Matamata County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

(a) Declares the piece of road described in the Schedule hereto to be a Government road, and

(b) Stops the said road.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation, for the purposes of a meeting place, building site, recreation ground, and place of historical and scenic interest for the common use and benefit of the Maori people of New Zealand generally.
