PURSUANT to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and
Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration
of the Levin Abattoir Employees Industrial Union of Workers,
Registered No. 2095, situated at 137 Bath Street, Levin, will,
unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled on the
expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication

Local Authorities Loans Act 1956—Rates of Interest
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice
is hereby given that the Local Authorities Loans Board,
acting with the approval of the Minister of Finance, has
determined as follows:
-
This determination shall apply to all money which any
local authority has, before the 7th day of April 1967,
received the sanction of the Board to borrow by way of
special loan, other than money already borrowed before that
date. -
The rate or rates of interest that may be paid by any
local authority in respect of any such money borrowed by
it shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a
rate or rates exceeding the following rates—
(a) For money borrowed for any period of less than six years …… 5¼ percent per annum
(b) For money borrowed for any period of not less than six years but less of 10 years or more …… 5½ percent per annum
(c) For money borrowed for any period of 10 years or more …… 5¾ percent per annum
- All sanctions to which this determination applies shall be
varied accordingly.

National Roads Board—Notice Concerning the Stopping of Vehicles on Roads
It is hereby notified that, pursuant to the National Roads
Board Bylaw 1958, No. 1*, the Board has, by resolution
carried at its meeting on 15 February 1967, prohibited the
stopping of vehicles on those portions of State highway
described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
No. 89 State Highway, Wanaka.
(1) On the northern side of Dungannon Street and Ardmore
Street commencing at R.M. 31.9 and extending for a distance
of 9 chains.
(2) On the southern side of Dungannon Street and Lakeside Road commencing at R.M. 31.9 and extending for a distance of 12 chains.
(3) On the southern side of Ardmore Street terminating at
R.M. 32.0 and extending back along Ardmore Street for 3
chains and into Lakeside Road for a distance of 4 chains.

Boundaries of Borough of Ashburton Defined
PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as
set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough
of Ashburton, the previous boundaries having been altered
by Order in Council made on the 21st day of September
1966 and published in Gazette, 26 September 1966, No. 55,
page 1489.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF ASHBURTON
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
2,604 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at
the intersection of the north-west side of West Street and
the south-west side of Racecourse Road, and proceeding
southerly generally across West Street to and along the
eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Reserve 2909 (South
Island Main Trunk Railway), to a point in line with the
south-western boundary of Reserve 4878; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and the south-western
boundary of Reserve 2644, to and across Bridge Street and
along the south-western side of Taurangi Road, to a point
250 links from the south-eastern side of Bridge Street; thence
south-westerly along a line parallel to, and 250 links distant
from, the south-eastern side of Bridge Street, to the western-most corner of Lot 6, D.P. 13311; thence south-easterly
along the south-western boundary of that lot to the north-western boundary of Part Lot 1, D.P. 10505; thence south-westerly and south-easterly along the north-western and
south-western boundaries of that part lot to the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 11462; thence north-easterly along
the north-western boundary of that Lot to its northernmost
corner; thence again south-easterly along the north-eastern
boundaries of Lots 1, 2, and 3, D.P. 11462, to the eastern-most corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence along a right
line to the northernmost corner of Lot 4, D.P. 11462; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of
Lots 4 and 5, D.P. 11642, to the easternmost corner of the
last-mentioned lot; thence continuing south-easterly along
the north-eastern boundaries of part Lots 6 and 7, D.P.
988, as described in N.Z. Gazette 1962, page 1993, to the north-western boundary of Lot 8, D.P. 988; thence south-westerly
along that boundary to the north-eastern side of Albert Street;
thence south-easterly along that north-eastern side to a point
in line with the south-eastern side of Trevors Road; thence
south-westerly to and along that roadside to the left bank
of the Ashburton River; thence north-westerly along that
riverbank to a point 1 chain south-east of the south-eastern
side of the No. 1 National State Highway traffic bridge over
the Ashburton River; thence south-westerly along a line
parallel to the south-eastern side of that bridge, and its production to the right bank of the Ashburton River; thence
south-easterly along that bank to a point on the production
of a line parallel to and distant 2½ chains south-east of the
south-eastern side of Grove Street; thence south-westerly to
and along that line and its production to the middle of Hassal
Street; thence northerly along the middle of that street to a
point in line with the south-western boundary of Reserve
1422; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and
its production across the South Island Main Trunk Railway
to the north-western side of Melcombe Street; thence north-easterly along that north-western side to the easternmost
corner of Section 1, Reserve 350; thence northerly along a
right line across Maronan Road, at right angles to that road,
to the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 23652; thence westerly along that boundary and northerly along the western
boundary of that lot and its production to the northern side
of the Mount Somers Branch Railway; thence easterly along
the northern side of that railway to the western boundary
of Lot 2, D.P. 18524; thence northerly along that boundary
and the western boundaries of Lots 4 to 19 and 22, D.P.
18524, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary
across Lagmhor Street to the southern boundary of Part
Reserve 2378 (Part Tinwald Domain, Gazette 1879, page 68);
thence easterly and north-easterly along the southern and
south-eastern boundaries of that part reserve to the south-western boundary of Lot 12, D.P. 22654; thence north-westerly along that boundary and the south-western boundary
of Lot 11, D.P. 1494, and its production, to the middle of
Tarbottons Road; thence north-easterly generally along the
middle of that road and Buckleys Terrace to a point in line
with the north-western boundary of Rural Section 23096;
thence north-easterly to and along that boundary to the
right bank of the Ashburton River; thence south-easterly
along that bank to a point on the production of a line,
parallel to, and 1 chain north-west of, the north-western side
of the No. 1 National State Highway traffic bridge over the
