Te Kaha Development Scheme Amending Notice 1967, No. 2

WHEREAS, by virtue of the notice described in the First Schedule hereto, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is now subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, and it is desired to vary the same:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Te Kaha Development Scheme Amending Notice 1967, No. 2.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

PURSUANT to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Part Section 24, Ngatihaupoto 102 Notice 1967.

  2. The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Approval of Flashing Amber Lights for Over-width Motor Vehicles

PURSUANT to regulation 39 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves the use on a motor vehicle of a pair of simultaneously flashing amber lights in the following circumstances:

(a) On a motor vehicle which is in excess of eight feet in width, while it is operating at night under the terms of an over-dimension permit which requires the use of amber flashing lights to indicate the width of the motor vehicle—one pair facing to the front.

(b) On a motor vehicle which is in excess of eight feet in width, while it is operating at night under the terms of an over-dimension permit which requires the use of amber flashing lights to indicate the width of the motor vehicle—one pair facing to the rear.

(c) On a pilot motor vehicle proceeding ahead of an over-width motor vehicle at night, when the over-dimension permit carried by the over-width motor vehicle requires flashing amber lights to be carried by a pilot motor vehicle—one pair facing to the front.

The flashing amber lights shall meet the following specifications:

(a) Each light shall have a lens with a frontal area of not less than 3½ square inches.

(b) The power of the bulb in each lamp shall not be less than 15 watts, or more than 36 watts.

(c) The flashing rate shall be between 60 and 120 flashes per minute.

Approval of Brake-Testing Instrument

PURSUANT to subclause (5) of regulation 42 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of the said regulation, the brake-testing instruments of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

Notice to Make Returns of Land Under the Land and Income Tax Act 1954

PURSUANT to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, the Commissioner of Inland Revenue hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. A return of land held as at noon on 31 March 1967 is required from every person and company, whether a taxpayer or not, being the owner of land in New Zealand within the meaning of the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, where total unimproved value exceeds £6,000.

  2. Returns are required to be delivered or forwarded to the district office of the Inland Revenue Department, where the taxpayer’s records are filed, not later than 7 May 1967.

  3. Return forms are available at all district offices of the Inland Revenue Department, and at all permanent post offices.

  4. Any person or company failing to furnish a return within the prescribed time is liable to a fine not exceeding £100 or not less than £2.
