NOTICE is hereby given that the area described in the First Schedule hereto has been acquired as provisional State forest land by way of exchange for the area described in the Second Schedule hereto, pursuant to section 22 of the Forests Act 1949.

FIRST SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT—NELSON CONSERVANCY—INANGAHUA COUNTY

Description of Area Acquired

ALL that area of Crown land in the Nelson Land District, Inangahua County, containing 190 acres, more or less, situated in Block XII, Mawheraiti Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the southern corner of Section 14, Block XII, Mawheraiti Survey District, and proceeding south-westerly and north-easterly along the north-western and south-eastern boundaries of application No. 6389 to the Nelson Land Board, dated 1917, to the south-western bank of the Blackwater River; thence north-westerly generally along the said bank of the Blackwater River to the south-eastern boundary of Section 14, Block XII, Mawheraiti Survey District, thence south-westerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

ALL that area of provisional State forest in the Nelson Land District, Inangahua County, containing 9 acres, more or less, situated in Block XII, Mawheraiti Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-eastern boundary of application No. 6389 to the Nelson Land Board, dated 1917, with the south-western side of the Blackwater River to Waiuta Road, and proceeding south-easterly generally along the south-western side of that road to the north eastern bank of the Blackwater River; thence north-westerly generally along the said bank to its intersection with the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid application No. 6389; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the said application No. 6389 to the point of commencement.

WHEREAS, by virtue of the notices described in the First Schedule hereto, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is now subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, and it is desired to vary the same:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Hokianga Development Scheme Amending Notice 1967, No. 1.

2. The notices referred to in the First Schedule hereto are hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
