HAMILTON CITY COUNCIL

SECURITY RATE

Special (Renewal) Loan 1966—£27,200

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-seven thousand two hundred pounds (£27,200), authorised to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act and section 27 of the Local Legislation Act 1966 for the purpose of refunding the district fund account for sums totalling £27,200 in repayment of portions of the Streets Loan 1959, £100,000, Sewer Loan 1957, £131,600, and Stormwater Drainage and Ulster Street Culvert Loan 1956, £100,000, which matured on 1 August 1966, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes a special rate of thirty-nine thousandths of a penny (0.039d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the City of Hamilton; and that the special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of twelve (12) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a duly-constituted meeting of the Hamilton City Council, held on the 8th day of February 1967.

CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957

IN the matter of an application for variation of the mode of administering a trust under section 33 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957:

Whereas, by virtue of a deed of trust, dated the 28th day of February 1958, the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees accepted from the estate of Henry Oscar Toogood, late of Masterton, retired sheep farmer, deceased, a trust fund for the purpose of providing an arts hall in Masterton;

And whereas, under the terms of the said deed of trust, the arts hall was to be erected by the 31st day of December 1964;

And whereas, pursuant to section 33 of the above Act, the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees (now the Masterton Trust Lands Trust) applied to the Supreme Court at Masterton for approval of a motion to vary the said deed of trust, wherein the trustees proposed that the date of completion of the said arts hall be extended to the 31st day of December 1967:

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 54 of the above Act, that, on the said 8th day of February 1967, an order was made varying the said deed of trust by substituting for the words and figures: “31st day of December 1964”, appearing in paragraph 4 thereof, the words and figures: “31st day of December 1968”.
