IN the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of L. Smith and Sons Ltd., a company duly incorporated in New Zealand, and having its registered office in the City of Wellington:

Notice is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, dated the 3rd day of February 1967, confirming the reduction of capital of the above-named company from £23,500 to £1,500, and the minute approved by the Court, showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered, the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act, was registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 14th day of February 1967. The said minute is in the words and figures following:

“The capital of L. Smith and Sons Ltd. is £1,500, divided into 1,500 fully-paid shares of £1 each, having been reduced from £23,500, divided into 23,500 shares of £1 each, fully paid.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that the Rangitikei County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road, and, for the purposes of that public work, the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan showing the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the offices of Messrs Evans, Easther, Harris, and Goodman, Solicitors, 335 Wellington Road, Marton, and is there open for inspection, without fee, during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of the said lands, should, if they have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to Messrs Evans, Easther, Harris, and Goodman at the above address.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO STOP PORTIONS OF ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 148 of the Public Works Act 1928, that it is proposed to stop those portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

And notice is hereby further given that the plan showing the portions of road to be stopped is deposited in the offices of Messrs Evans, Easther, Harris, and Goodman, Solicitors, 335 Wellington Road, Marton, and is there open for inspection, without fee, during ordinary office hours.

All persons objecting to the proposal to stop the portions of road must lodge their objections, in writing, at the offices of Messrs Evans, Easther, Harris, and Goodman, at the above address, on or before the 28th day of March 1967.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public meeting of the ratepayers of the Rangitikei County will be called, by public notice, at a time and place to be specified in the notice.
