Redescribing the Boundaries of the Bay of Plenty Abattoir District, and Specifying the Controlling Authority of the Said District (No. Ag. 10030)
Pursuant to section 15 of the Meat Act 1964, and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purpose of the said Act, notice is hereby given as follows:
- The Bay of Plenty Abattoir District, described in the notice of 3 March 1966*, shall henceforth comprise the districts of the following local authorities:
(a) Kawerau Borough Council.
(b) Mount Maunganui Borough Council.
(c) Murupara Borough Council.
(d) Rotorua County Council, excluding all those parts contained in Blocks XII, XV, and XVI of the Rotorua Survey District, Blocks III, IV, and VIII of the Horohoro Survey District, Blocks I, II, V, and VI, Tarawera Survey District, and Blocks XIII and XIV of the Rotoiti Survey District.
(e) Tauranga City Council.
(f) Tauranga County Council.
(g) Te Puke Borough Council.
(h) Whakatane Borough Council.
(i) Whakatane County Council. - The Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Co-operative Ltd. shall be the controlling authority of the Bay of Plenty Abattoir.

Revoking United Kingdom as Approved Supplier of Ships’ Meat (Notice No. Ag. 10029)
Pursuant to regulation 2 (1) of the Ships Meat Lockers Regulations 1966, the notice of the 16th day of January 1967†, specifying the countries as approved suppliers is hereby amended by revoking “United Kingdom” as an approved country.

Pursuant to section 16 of the Friendly Societies Act, the Waimate Benefit and Investment Society, with registered office at Waimate, is registered as a specially authorised society, under the Friendly Societies Act 1909.

Levy on Main Crop Potatoes
Pursuant to section 15 of the Potato Growing Industry Act 1950 and the regulations made thereunder, the Potato Board hereby resolves and determines that:
- From and including 1 March 1967 a levy at the rate of 20s. per ton, and payable in accordance with this resolution, be made upon growers of main crop potatoes.
- The levy shall be payable in respect of all main crop potatoes grown in all districts in New Zealand upon sale by the grower, whether as table potatoes or as seed potatoes, excepting only:
(a) Potatoes sold by the grower as “certified seed”, i.e., packed in containers labelled with the official certification tag of the Department of Agriculture, provided that the maximum certification grading size of such potatoes does not exceed 6.5 oz.
(b) Potatoes (other than “certified seed potatoes” as in (a) above) which are sold by the grower as seed, provided that the maximum size of such potatoes does not exceed 4.5 oz.
(c) Potatoes (other than those covered by (a) or (b) above) which are sold by the grower as seed and delivered direct to another grower for use for seed purposes.
(d) Potatoes sold by the grower for shipment to the Pacific Islands, and known as “Island Smalls”; provided that the maximum size of such potatoes does not exceed 4.5 oz. - Potatoes which are sold by the grower without pre-sale grading as to size and which are not exempt from the levy in accordance with any subsection of section 2 shall be subject as to 70 percent of the quantity sold to the full levy notwithstanding any subsequent grading thereof by the purchaser.
- For the purposes of section 3 of this resolution, “grower” shall not include any person, firm, or company which has contracted in any manner whatsoever with the occupier of any land for the acquisition of any potatoes grown thereon.
