Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the
Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act
1948, as from and after the 20th day of February 1967.

in Block XV, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; being
Lots 69 and 70, D.P. 10839.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road, and for the Use,
Convenience, or Enjoyment of a Road, in Block XV, Toko-
maru Survey District, Waiapu County

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public
work, namely, the construction of a road, and for the purposes
of that public work the land described in the First Schedule
hereto is required to be taken for road, and the land described
in the Second Schedule hereto is required to be taken for
the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road: and notice is
hereby further given that the plan of the land so required
to be taken is deposited in the post office at Tokomaru Bay
and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected
by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking
of the said land, should, if they have any objections to the
execution of the said public work or to the taking of the
said land, not being objections to the amount or payment
of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the
written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of
this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that,
if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a
public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the
objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised
of the time and place of the hearing.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked M.O.W. 20873 (S.O. 5383) deposited in the office
of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
as above mentioned.

The said land is required for the approaches of the Nos. 1,
2, and 3 Hikuwai Bridges, on the Te Araroa-Gisborne State
Highway No. 35.
