National Roads Board—Notice Concerning U Turns on State Highways

It is hereby notified that, pursuant to National Roads Board Bylaw 1966, No. 3, the Board has, by resolution carried at its meeting on 15 December 1966, prohibited the turning of vehicles on a roadway from facing or travelling in one direction to facing or travelling in the opposite direction on those portions of State Highway No. 2 described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

No. 2 State Highway:

  1. In the Borough of Upper Hutt, between King Street and Gibbons Street.
  2. Between the Petone Interchange and Ngauranga.

Bylaw Regulating the Turning of Vehicles on a Roadway from Facing or Travelling in One Direction to Facing or Travelling in the Opposite Direction

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962 and the National Roads Act 1953 and to all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling it, the National Roads Board hereby makes the following bylaw.

BYLAW

  1. This bylaw may be cited as National Roads Board Bylaw 1966, No. 3.
  2. This bylaw shall come into force on the day of its publication in the Gazette.
  3. In this bylaw “vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in the Transport Act 1962.
  4. The National Roads Board may from time to time by resolution, prohibit the turning of vehicles on a State highway from facing or travelling in one direction to facing or travelling in the opposite direction, on such specified sections of State highways as the National Roads Board may notify in the Gazette.
