Declaring Land Taken for Maori Housing Purposes in the City of Napier

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for Maori housing purposes from and after the 19th day of December 1966.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works hereby proclaims as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also hereby takes the land described in the Second and Third Schedules hereto for the purposes of subsection (6) of the said section 29; and also hereby proclaims as closed the road described in the Fourth and Fifth Schedules hereto; and also hereby proclaims that the road described in the said Fifth Schedule hereto and the land described in the said Third Schedule hereto shall vest in Henry Frank Kelcher Vaughan, of Woodend, farmer, and that the road described in the said Fourth Schedule hereto and the land described in the said Second Schedule hereto shall vest in Albert William Johnson, of Woodend, farmer, and Ivy Johnson, his wife, subject to memorandum of mortgage No. 663912, Canterbury Land Registry.
