A. By an Order Dated 5 July 1965 (Applicants—Cautley Service Station Ltd. and Margaret Florence Jones):

“1. To permit the survey out of Lot 1, D.P. 32177, owned by the applicant Mrs M. F. Jones (portion of 23A King Edward Parade, Devonport) of a piece of land having a frontage of 54.5 links to King Edward Parade and an area of 15.3 perches and its amalgamation as one lot with the adjoining property, No. 22 King Edward Parade, owned by the applicant company and occupied by it as a service station; and

  1. To permit the use of the said portion of Lot 1, D.P. 32177, as a forecourt to the service station operated by the applicant company on the adjoining property and as a means of vehicle ingress and egress to and from such adjoining property and for off-street parking:

Subject, however, to the following conditions:

(a) That the portion of Lot 1, Deposited Plan 32177, to be used for the movement or parking of vehicles be laid down and maintained in a permanent dustproof surface to the satisfaction of the Council.

(b) That the uses carried on upon the said land be adequately screened from adjoining residences to the satisfaction of the Council.”

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Review of the Nelson District Scheme

Public notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Council made on the 19th day of May 1966, the Nelson City District Scheme as already operative is under review, and the Council has recommended that the scheme as already operative be replaced by a new one.

The scheme as now recommended by the Council has been deposited at the public office of the Council, Trafalgar Street, Nelson, and in each public library and branch thereof, and is there open for inspection by all persons interested therein, without fee, at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the proposed new district scheme may be made by way of written notice in form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, or to the like effect, marked “Objection to District Scheme”, and lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than noon on Monday, the 16th day of January 1967.

At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will then be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk, in writing, within a period of which public notice will be given.

ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Review of Ashburton Borough District Scheme

Public notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Council made on the 7th day of November 1966, the Ashburton Borough District Scheme as already operative is under review, and the Council has recommended that the scheme with the changes now incorporated therein be approved.

The scheme as now recommended by the Council has been deposited in the Ashburton Borough Council Chambers and the Public Library and is there open for inspection by all persons interested therein, without fee, at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the proposed changes of the district scheme or in respect of any portion of the operative scheme, which the Council proposes to confirm without any change, may be made by way of written notice in form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, or to the like effect, marked “Objection to the district scheme”, and lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 11th day of January 1967.

At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will then be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk, in writing, within a period of which public notice will be given.

RICCARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Riccarton Borough District Scheme Change No. 1 Approved

Pursuant to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, Change No. 1 to the Riccarton Borough Operative District Scheme was approved by the Council by a resolution passed at its meeting held on the 7th day of November 1966, there being no objections to the proposed change as publicly notified on the 25th day of August 1966.

The Council has also resolved that the Change No. 1 shall come into operation on the 17th day of November 1966.

Copies of the Change No. 1 as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and in every public library in the district and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers of the City of Gisborne taken on 4 November 1966, on the proposal

B. By an Order Dated 23 December 1965 (Applicant—Auckland Gas Co. Ltd.):

By permitting “the applicant, being the owner of an estate in fee simple in (inter alia) all that piece of land in Lake Road, Devonport, delineated in green on a plan attached to the original of the decision, being part of Allotments 7 and 9 of Section 2 of the Parish of Takapuna and part of the foreshore of Auckland Harbour, being the land on Deposited Plan 4053 and the land on Deposited Plan 189 and 3772, and being the residue of certificate of title, Volume 143, folio 252, North Auckland Registry (hereinafter called ‘the said land’), to subdivide the said land into not more than two lots and to use the part of the said land marked yellow on the attached plan for the purposes of access to and from Lake Road for the remainder of the applicant’s land which comprises all the land previously described:

Subject, however, to the conditions:

(a) That the portion of the said land being coloured grey on the said plan shall only be transferred as one separate lot and the remaining portion of the said land coloured yellow on the said plan shall remain amalgamated with the remainder of the applicant’s land.

(b) That the wall erected along the boundary of the said land and Lake Road be demolished and removed to the level of Lake Road to the satisfaction of the Devonport Borough Council.

(c) That any party hereto shall have the right to reapply to this Board for further directions.”

C. By an Order Dated 23 December 1965 (Applicant—Michael Lawrence Curtis as trustee for a company to be incorporated):

By permitting “the applicant, being the conditional purchaser of an estate in fee simple in all that piece of land situated in Lake Road, Devonport, being part of the Old Gas Works Site, a sketch plan of which is attached hereto, showing the dimension having an area of 2 roods 2.5 perches, more or less, being part Allotments 7 and 9 of Section 2 of the Parish of Takapuna on Deposited Plan 4053, part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 143, folio 252, North Auckland Registry (hereinafter called ‘the said land’), to use the said land for the purposes of erecting thereon and operating therefrom a service station for the retail sale of motor spirits, lubricants, and motor accessories and also a commercial garage for the repair and servicing of motor vehicles in general conformity with the plans submitted allowing two points of access to and from the said land to Lake Road:

Subject, however, to the conditions:

(a) That any activity to be carried out from the said land pursuant to the foregoing shall not give rise to smoke, smell, noise, dust, effluent, or other elements to the extent that they would be likely to detract from the amenities of the neighbouring residential areas.

(b) That the buildings will be erected and the business will be conducted in conformity with the Devonport Borough Council’s By-laws.

(c) That any party shall have the right to reapply to this Board for further directions.”
