WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CHANGE THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH
LAND WAS TAKEN UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954, and the Town and Country Planning
Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors,
and Citizens of the Borough of Whakatane propose, under
the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to change the
purpose for which the following land was taken, pursuant
to the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, namely,
nine (9) acres, twenty decimal one (20-1) perches, more
or less, being Lot 8, Deposited Plan S. 2646, being part
Allotments 272 and 295, Parish of Waimana, and being all
of the land comprised and described in certificate of title,
South Volume 1207, folio 167, South Auckland Registry.
The purpose for which the aforesaid land is now held is as
and for a rubbish dump and the purpose for which it is
desired that the said land should now be set apart is for
municipal purposes for the proper development or use of
the land, pursuant to subsection (1) of section 47 of the
Town and Country Planning Act 1953, and in accordance
with the Council's operative district scheme.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the
said land is deposited in the public offices of the acting
Town Clerk to the said Council situated in Commerce Street,
Whakatane, and together with the district scheme are open
for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary
office hours. All persons affected by the proposed change
of purpose for which the said land will be held who have
any well grounded objections to the said change of purpose
must state their objections in writing and send the same
within forty (40) days from the date of the first publication
of this notice to the acting Town Clerk at the Council
Chambers, Commerce Street, Whakatane.

BOROUGH OF DARGAVILLE

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Housing Loan 1966

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and
to each and every power it thereunto enabling, for the
purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £7,500,
described as Pensioner Housing Loan 1966, and authorised
to be raised by the Dargaville Borough Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and
erecting accommodation for old people, the body corporate
called the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough
of Dargaville hereby makes a special rate of decimal one six
of a penny (.16d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all
rateable property in the Borough of Dargaville on the basis
of the unimproved value; such special rate to be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and to be
payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being 30 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

WHANGAREI CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Changes of the City of Whangarei District Scheme Approved
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations
1960, public notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned
changes to the district scheme under the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953 for the City of Whangarei, were approved
by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on
the 2nd day of November 1966.

The Council has also resolved that the under-mentioned
changes to the district scheme shall come into operation on
the 14th day of November 1966.

Copies of the scheme changes as approved have been
deposited in the Council's office, the Whangarei Public Library,
and the Kamo branch thereof, and may be inspected, without
fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these
places are open to the public.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Public Notification of Change in the City of Napier District
Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of
the Napier City Council passed on the 31st day of October
1966, a change of the City of Napier District Scheme has
been recommended for approval under the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953. The changes relate only to Section 7
(Pirimai Section).

The proposed changes to the scheme have been deposited in
the Napier Public Library and the Town Clerk's and City
Engineer's offices, in accordance with section 22 (i) of that
Act, and are there open for inspection, without fee, by all
persons interested therein at any time when the above places
are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in
writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the
Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be
lodged at the Town Clerk's office at any time not later than
4 p.m. on the 19th day of December 1966. At a later date
every objection will be open for public inspection and any
person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will
be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he
notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which
public notice will be given.

APPLICATION FOR A WATER RACE

CHRISTOPHER THORP PRESTON, of Kyeburn, farmer, hereby
gives notice that he has applied to the Mining Warden at
Cromwell for a licence to pump one-eighth of a head of
water from the Swinburn Stream in a pipeline in Section 11,
Block V, Swinburn Survey District, for domestic and stock-
water purposes.

The application will be heard at the Warden's Court,
Cromwell, on Tuesday, the 6th day of December 1966, at
10 a.m. Any objection to the application must be filed in
the said Warden's Court at least three clear days before the
date of hearing.
