CITY OF DUNEDIN

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin (hereinafter called “the Corporation”) proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, to lay out, pursuant to section 170 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, a new street between High Street and Maclaggan Street providing access from Manse Street to Rattray Street in the City of Dunedin, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken for the purposes of street, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Municipal Chambers, the Octagon, Dunedin, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public works or the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send such written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, namely, the 4th day of November 1966, to the Town Clerk of the Corporation, and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and that each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.

SCHEDULE

THAT piece of land situated in the City of Dunedin containing 24 poles more or less, being part Sections 59 and 60, Block VII, Town of Dunedin, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Register Book Volume 262, folio 35, as the same is more particularly shown on the said plan and thereon coloured blue, and being part of the property known as No. 166 High Street, Dunedin.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin (hereinafter called “the Corporation”) proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, to provide, pursuant to section 177 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, parking places, and for the purpose of such public work the land first described in the Schedule hereto and the interest in land secondly described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken for the purpose of parking places, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the Municipal Chambers, The Octagon, Dunedin, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public works or the taking of the said land and interest in land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public works or the taking of such land and interest in land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send such written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, namely, the 4th day of November 1966, to the Town Clerk of the Corporation, and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and that each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.

SCHEDULE

  1. An estate in fee simple in all those pieces of land situated in the City of Dunedin containing 11·21 poles, more or less, being Lot 1, Deposited Plan 4494, and Lot 1, Deposited Plan 10900, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Register Book Volume 274, folio 246, and the balance of the land comprised in certificate of title, Register Book Volume 320, folio 169, adjoining No. 166 High Street Dunedin and with a frontage to Maclaggan Street.

  2. An estate for years under and by virtue of memorandum of lease No. 10476 in all that piece of land situated in the City of Dunedin containing 1 rood 15·66 perches, more or less, being part Sections 59 and 60, Block VII, Town of Dunedin, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Register Book Volume 262, folio 35, and being part of the land comprised in the said memorandum of lease and being part of the property known as No. 166 High Street, Dunedin.

As the said pieces of land are more particularly shown on the said plan and thereon coloured yellow.

WAIHEKE ROAD BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waiheke Road Board proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a new public road at the eastern end of the island, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the clerk of the said Board situated in Belgium Street, Ostend, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

Every person affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land who has any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must set out his objection, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the clerk at his office aforesaid.

A public hearing of any objection lodged will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
