Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the County of Matamata
(Notice No. Ag. 8336)

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes of the said section, the following special order, made by the Matamata County Council on the 11th day of November 1965, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Counties Act 1956 and amendments thereof, and the Noxious Weeds Act Extension Orders 1956 and 1964, the Matamata County Council doth hereby resolve and declare by way of special order that the following plants are noxious weeds within the County of Matamata, as from the 1st day of January 1966.
Stinking Mayweed (Anthemis cotula)
Welted Thistle (Carduus crispus).

Barley Grass (Hordeum murinum).

THAT pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Ashley County Council acting on behalf of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ashley, hereby declares that all plants mentioned or included in the First Schedule of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, are noxious weeds within the District of the County of Ashley.

Assignment of Foreshore Licence at Akaroa

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Secretary for Marine hereby gives notice that the licence granted to Eric Winston Narbey, on 29 July 1960*, to use and occupy a site on the foreshore at Akaroa for the purposes of erecting and maintaining a jetty thereon is hereby assigned to Akaroa Marine and Rental Services Ltd.

All persons who may be affected by them and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies on loan from the New Zealand Standards Institute, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Wellington C. 1.
Requests should specify that copies are required for comment purposes.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 4 March 1966.
